You’ve got a friend in me.
Friendship. There’s nothing quite like it. Through it, a person is given endless love, someone to confide in when things get tough and a relationship that’ll work to define them for the rest of their life. It’s something incredibly special, which is why we’re always looking for a chance to celebrate it.
You know who are pretty good friends? Calum McSwiggan and Roly West. In fact, they’re more than pretty good friends. They’re best friends. You know, the type of friends who have a million inside jokes and who get up to no good on the reg? From their YouTube collabs to their hilarious interactions, it’s clear these two are pretty close, which is why we simply had to dedicate an article to their friendship.
Here they are, the six times Calum and Roly were BFF goals!
Their flat
We’ve all heard the stories of former roommates who used to live together, but no longer do because being in such close proximity to each other all the time has ruined their friendship. It’s a tale as true as time. However, the exact opposite happened with Calum and Roly, whose friendship has only grown stronger since the pair became roomies.
It’s hard to believe from watching their videos together that these two didn’t like each other when they first met. In fact, it might be hard to believe now, given how much they complain about each other. Thankfully, we know they’re doing it out of love and that they’re insanely close. You know someone’s your best friend when you can insult them and they insult you back. #FriendshipGoals

As if it weren’t evident enough from their videos, Calum and Roly share what we’ve dubbed “the most bant-filled friendship on YouTube”. (Has a certain ring to it, doesn’t it?)
The one thing we love most about this pair’s friendship is that they’re always able to joke around with each other, whether that be throwing about silly insults or taking jabs. They’re always up for kidding around and having a good time, so it won’t come as any surprise that we’re uber jealous of their friendship.

When Roly turned Calum into a punk
You want to know how to tell if you and your friend are actual, true BFFs? You let them shave your head. That’s exactly what Calum let Roly do in order for this punk transformation to take place.
We’re not going to lie, we’d always wondered what Calum would look like if he were a punk and now our wishes have come true! While he might have been a bit quite whiny throughout the entire video (the truth hurts), we think Roly did an excellent job! We think they’ve got a career for them if they ever want to transition into a beauty vlogger.
Also, Calum, we agree. People do end up becoming a bit creepy when holding a razor in their hands.
Their candy trying series
We’ve all seen the British YouTuber Tries American Candy tags that floated about YouTube a few years ago. You might think this series is a lot like those, but you’d be wrong. This series from Roly and Calum features a lot more instances of the pair nearly throwing up.
While they don’t always upload these videos, it’s always a sweet treat whenever we see one appear in our sub box. (Geddit?!) The pair have tried candy from all over the world, including Russia and Japan! They’ve also tried weird chocolate, which is just as unusual as you might think.

The love they have for each other
There are many things that hold a friendship together, but there’s one that’s crucial if it’s going to last: love. That’s exactly what these two have, and it’s always incredibly heartwarming to see.
Not only are they able to joke around with each other and have a good time, just one look at either one’s Instagram or Twitter accounts shows just how supportive Calum and Roly are of each other. Whether it’s Roly lending their time to help Calum with his FUBAR radio show or Calum gifting Roly endless amounts of sweets, these two are the definition of what friendship’s all about and we can’t get enough!
Their pumpkin carving adventures
There’s nothing we love more about Halloween than carving pumpkins. Sure, the candy is pretty delicious and getting dressed up is fun, but we love how creative we can get when carving a pumpkin. Also, there’s something slightly satisfying about squeezing the guts in our hands as we remove them. (Maybe that’s just us…)
Calum and Roly appear to share our love for carving pumpkins, given their annually tradition of uploading a video of them carving that year’s masterpiece. There are three videos in this series and each is a prime example of why we love this friendship. Their bants are absolutely hilarious, as seen in the insults thrown about in Extreme Gay Pumpkin Carving, and their artistic skills aren’t actually too bad.
However, each year we question why anyone would let these two near the knives. We’re certain one of these videos will eventually end with someone losing an eye.
We’re totally jealous of this friendship.
