Playlist Live has come and gone for yet another year.
As with previous years, our faves flew across the pond to sunny Orlando to partake in Playlist Live. From panels and performances to poolside chats and the odd bit of sunburn, it looks like they made the most of their time in Florida – and we were totes jealous. We’re not going to lie, we were feeling some major FOMO this weekend looking at all the tweets, and instead of avoiding them we decided to do the exact opposite: collect them and write a recap article… Yeah, we like torturing ourselves.
Want to see what our faves got up to while at Playlist? Keep on reading!
Viewer hangouts
Walking around Playlist Live, and I love meeting viewers :) it feels like hanging out with friends and everyone is so lovely
— Jamie Jo ✨ (@BananaJamana) April 28, 2018
Many at Playlist, like Jamie Jo, spent the weekend hanging out and chatting with viewers, which is always one of the best things about YouTube events.
“ALFIES MATE”
Im not attending Playlist Live this year, but don’t you worry! You can officially meet my mate @MyNamesChai pic.twitter.com/O7sfbUgCk5
— Alfie Deyes (@PointlessBlog) April 27, 2018
Alfie Deyes couldn’t attend Playlist Live this year, but, fear not, he sent his friend in his place. We’re not going to lie, we’re probably going to refer to Chai Cameron as “Alfie’s mate” from now on. It has a better ring to it.
Getting a tan

— Melanie Murphy (@melaniietweets) April 28, 2018
Here in the UK, we don’t get a lot of sun, so many of our faves, including Melanie Murphy, were sure to make the most of the rays. Guaranteed we’ll be jealous of her tan the next time we see her!
The puns kept coming
If you’re at #Playlistlive and in the lobby, why don’t you just meet me in the middle? pic.twitter.com/Sqr6kRn0ye
— Evan Edinger (@EvanEdinger) April 28, 2018
Even on vacation, Evan Edinger can’t seem to stay away from his puns. We have to hand it to him, though – this one was pretty good.
Mermaids, unite!

We simply couldn’t handle these pictures of Connie Glynn and US vlogger Jessie Paege! Seeing our two faves come together was just too much! *squeal*
The Elle and dodie saga
my friend was nervous to perform pic.twitter.com/HBy2Ff8WOz

ELLE MILLS AND DODIE DID THAT
You welc pic.twitter.com/r9Ro4ayyOB— mum🍉cesca (@party_tattoos) April 30, 2018
Whenever dodie and Canadian vlogger Elle Mills get together, you know there’s going to be antics – and antics there were. Not only was there the now-infamous kiss between the two, but we also saw Elle proudly supporting dodie during her concert set. (Holding a sign that reads “GO BACK TO ENGLAND” counts as support, right?)
We were obsessed with these two the entire weekend!
The performances were where it was at
I had so much fun on stage last night at @PlaylistLive! Thanks to everyone who came and bop’d along 😎 pic.twitter.com/qfXf6RHOI2
— Doug Armstrong (@DougArmstrong) April 29, 2018
Many of our faves hit the stage this past weekend, including Doug Armstrong. We’re so sorry we couldn’t be there to watch you perform, Doug, but from what we heard, you killed it!
The jet lag was real
Jet lag has got me bad my brethren 😬 went to bed late, woke up at half 4am and haven’t gone back to sleep…
…I’ll get more sunrise photos tho 🌅
— Hannah Snow 🌈 (@HannahSnow) April 28, 2018
Orlando is five hours behind the UK, so you can bet our faves were experiencing some serious jet lag. But hey, a lack of sleep isn’t always a bad thing. As Hannah Snow points out, it meant they were able to experience the beautiful Florida sunrise.
The price of laundry
I just paid $62 for laundry at a hotel… Next time I’m just gonna wear dirty clothes and burn my money. Better value for money 🌝
— Chai (@MyNamesChai) April 28, 2018
Oh, dear, it looks like Chai didn’t pack enough clothes to make it through the weekend. You’d think he’d know how much to pack by now, but we guess not. He could have spent that $62 on something else, like Cheesecake Factory or Taco Bell!
Playlist Live 2019, anyone?
Overall, it looks like our faves had a great time at Playlist this year. So much fun, in fact, that it looks like we might have to plan a trip to Florida next year. We can’t keep missing out on all the Playlist fun! Our last trip was so long ago.
