*rumble rumble* Who’s hungry?
Here at TenEighty, we LOVE food. Whether we’re talking about our favourite baking videos or remembering what happened during the Healthy Living panel at Summer in the City 2017, we’re just permanently hungry for more content. We love all kinds of food-related videos and wanted to share our faves with you.
The beauty of this type of video is that lots of creators can get involved. LGBTQ+ content creator NeonFiona shows us what she eats in a week as a vegan/veggie when in Los Angeles, filmmaker Sam Saffold-Geri tries Buzzfeed recipes and lifestyle vlogger Gabriella Lindley shows us what she eats in a day, amongst others. So you better have your snacks handy or you’ll end up nibbling on your keyboard… It’s Five of the Best: Food Videos!
Testing Buzzfeed Recipes with NotJustBlonde | SuperSamStuff
In this video, Sam Saffold-Geri tackles one of those video recipes you see everywhere, alongside the lovely Zannah Perrins. The pair attempt to make loaded barbeque chicken nachos, which honestly sound amazing! The vibe of the video is chill as they update each other on what they have been up to while cooking. As the recipe they’re making is American, they wrangle with the frankly ridiculous measuring unit that is the “cup” – like seriously, what’s that about?
When the nachos finally come out of the oven they look absolutely amazing and we so wish that we could just reach into the screen and eat some! For some more food-related content by Sam, check out his fantastic short film, Comfort Food.
AMERICAN vs. BRITISH Domino’s Food | Raphael Gomes
Raphael Gomes is one of the quintessential foodie YouTubers and his AMERICAN vs. BRITISH series totally has us hooked. In this episode, he compares arguably the best pizza chain: Domino’s. He compares pizzas, sides, chicken and desserts in the UK and the US, sharing his findings in his usual funny style. Who wins? Well, you’ll just have to watch! All we know is that we are definitely hungrier after watching this…
If you like his style as much as we do, how about checking out some of his other types of videos, such as i only ate THE SIMPSONS FOODS for 24 hours!!! or his hilarious i cooked DINNER vs. my MOTHER !!! lmao?
A VERY Honest What I Eat In A Week | neonfiona
In this video, Fiona takes us along vlog-style while she lives (and eats) for a week in LA. It’s refreshing to see a What I Eat In A Week that is as realistic as hers and we love seeing all the social activities that go along with eating. In the video, she shows us her Valentine’s Day burrito (which, by the way, is the cutest thing ever) and sushi extravaganza with Riley J. Dennis, her food while she is out and about and, of course, all the coffee. She also gives us some awesome vegan ideas for easy foods, which we always appreciate.
If you want to check out other food-related videos she’s done, how about her Trying The Most Instagrammable Food In LA? It left us both in awe of the aesthetic and totally hungry.
£4 Fish And Chips Vs. £50 Fish And Chips | BuzzFeedVideo
Richard Alan Reid and Joe Bor from BuzzFeed bring the site’s awesome Worth It series to the UK. In this instalment, they compare the British staple of fish and chips at various price points! Their chippies come from a food truck, a chill diner-style restaurant and a more high-end place. While they both agree all were delicious, the food truck chippy still won it out for them. (And we’re dying to try it out!)
WHAT I EAT IN A DAY IN LONDON! | Gabriella
Closing off our Five of the Best is the lovely Gabriella Lindley telling us about her food choices for the day in London. Her banana porridge with agave nectar starts things off and we wish we could have a steaming bowl of it every morning too! For lunch, she goes to By Chloe, which is plant-based, casual restaurant from New York. Her mac and cheese with bacon looks absolutely amazing. Ending the day, her dinner also looks fantastic and we loved seeing what creative things she put togehter.
If you want to see more of Gabby doing food-related videos you can also check out her What I Eat in a Week. Oh, my… we probably should have eaten before watching all these!
