Twitch has introduced brand new tools for creators, and signed a multi-year partnership deal with Disney Digital Network.
The streaming website has revealed the addition of a new set of tools and features for creators to share pre-made content and help grow their audiences, called Video Producer.
Twitch is synonymous with streaming, but that's not *all* our creators do. We're rolling out Video Producer, a new way that creators can do what they do best, now for pre-made videos. https://t.co/gYAQzYOcL2 pic.twitter.com/0NP8mffHQ7

One of the features Video Producer has introduced is the ability for creators to set “Premieres” – a first-viewing event for pre-recorded and pre-produced videos. Countdown intros can be added to help build excitement before the release, and once the first viewing has ended, they will be available on demand as a “Past Premiere”.
Another new feature, “Reruns”, allows creators to schedule a rebroadcast of streams and video whenever they want to, and the audience are able to watch it together.
A complete FAQ about the new tools can be found on Twitch’s blog.
Additionally, Twitch has signed a multi-year partnership deal with Disney Digital Network. YouTubers Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, Strawburry17, and LuzuGames – who are under Maker Studios (owned by Disney) – will make exclusive live stream and VOD content for Twitch.
Each of the creators will manage their own channels. Disney’s Executive Vice President of Consumer Products and Interactive Media, Andrew Sugerman, said this partnership allows their “biggest creators access to [the] platform’s tools, expertise, and community to directly engage with and build their audiences”.
