“At the end of 2016, I set myself a goal: to go on one trip abroad every month over the coming year.”
As we enter 2018, Samio Renelda has made an end-of-the-year travel diary to share her adventures, and she’s had one very busy year. It’s making us feel busy just watching it! While she didn’t quite reach her goal of one trip per month, she managed to do 11 trips in ten months, which we think is pretty good going.
Starting off with her trip to Portugal in January, and going all the way through to her final trip of the year to Majorca in October, she perfectly captures each adventure. She takes us through each journey in detail and makes us feel like we were there with her in all these beautiful places.
Travelling the world is a wonderful thing to do, and doing so with people you’re close to makes everything so much better. Samio says in the video: “I don’t just see this as the year that I made a bit of a wild New Year’s resolution and went on a load of random trips, but as the year that I did exactly what I wanted to and got to spend quality time, making great memories, with some of my favourite people in the process.”
There is so much positivity coming from this video and you can see how much happiness Samio has got from all these wonderful trips this year. While a couple of her trips didn’t go entirely to plan (like when she and some friends flew to the wrong airport in Oslo), she manages to turn every situation into a positive one.
“I felt – I feel – fulfilled,” she reflects at the end of the video. “My year, what I wanted my year to be, was a success.” We’re excited to see what she gets up to in 2018!
