Can you believe it’s already January 1?
It feels like only yesterday we were recovering from our delicious Christmas dinner and planning to throw the ultimate of New Year’s Eve bashes, and now it’s all over and we’re preparing for the year ahead. Last night was one filled with lots of laughter, great times with friends, and tons of fireworks. (In fact, we still have a faint ringing in our ears.) And you know who else rang in the new year in a big way? YouTubers!
From get-togethers with fellow creators to ruminating about our impending doom, a big night was had by all, and we simply had to round it up for all of you! Warning: it might leave you wishing to relive New Year’s Eve all over again.
Decisions were made
We’ve decided Thomas always has to be leaning on something in the background of photos 😂 Happy new year everyone! I started my 2018 monthly vlogs today! 👏🏻🎉 pic.twitter.com/7xfMeFmEi9

We agree with this decision, Melanie Murphy. Having Thomas leaning in the background of every photo automatically makes it ten times better.

The award for the best outfit of New Year’s Eve 2017 goes to Josh Temple.
Make 2018 the year of growth
The New Year doesn’t really mean anything. It’s just arbitrary numbers on calendars. But you can make it mean something if you stop, look at your life, figure out what you’ve learned this year and how you’d like to grow next year, then carry on with that in mind.
Good luck! ❤️
— Hazel Hayes (@TheHazelHayes) January 1, 2018
We’re looking forward to seeing how Hazel Hayes and the rest of our favourite creators grow throughout the year. They all have so much potential and we know they’re going to let it shine in 2018.
Oh, the joys of New Year’s
I've had 9 drinks spilt down me…happy New Year
— Mark (@MarkFerris199O) January 1, 2018
Is it really a New Year’s Eve party if you don’t have at least two drinks spilt on you?
You don’t need to drink to have fun
Had a completely alcohol free New Year's Eve and it was ace. Don't believe that voice that says you HAVE to drink to have fun. It's the people that matter. (This is my wise entry to 2018 bye)
— Elisa Spigariol (@doyouknowellie) January 1, 2018
Elisa Spigariol is right: you don’t have to be drinking on New Year’s to have a fun time. All that matters is you’re with the people you care about the most.
Ring in the new year with dread
it feels like 2018 is either going to be the year we all finally sort our shit out or the universe is just gonna meteor earth out of pity – happy new year everyone!
— Daniel Howell (@danielhowell) January 1, 2018
Leave it to Dan Howell to remind us of our impending doom.
First wee of 2018! Woo!
me: *goes to toilet*
"Ooh, first wee of 2018!"
Surely I'm not the only one who declares this to every mundane action on New Year's Day?
— Adam Flanagan (@flanamation) January 1, 2018
We’re glad to see Adam Flanagan ringing in the new year in such an exciting way.
LITERAL TEARS OF JOY
Crying with laughter. Just watched the neighbours try to set off a chinese lantern to mark 2018 only to have it career all over adjacent gardens. They almost set the entire street alight. LITERAL TEARS OF JOY

That must have been a truly amazing sight, Jacob Trueman.
Whoa

time is an illusion

Leave it to Luke Cutforth to bring us into the new year by sending us on a mind trip.
Hug it out
Linda: group hug
Chai: no
Sammy: let me wear your glasses
Chai: stop leave me alone pic.twitter.com/JPfs29PBbd— ˗ˏˋ niki ˊˎ˗ (@NikiAlbon) January 1, 2018
We think Chai Cameron forgot what the New Year’s spirit is all about.
Happy New Year!
