We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
We’ve opened the last of our presents, stuffed our faces with copious amounts of turkey, and spent the entire evening cleaning up the remnants of all the Christmas crackers we opened – if you ask us, we’d say that’s a pretty successful Christmas. However, there is one thing that could make it better: the Weekly Round-Up, of course!
What, you didn’t think we’d be taking a break because it’s Christmas, did you?
A YouTube Christmas Carol | SORTEDfood
Ever wish you could watch a version of A Christmas Carol that is narrated by Jamie Oliver and features the likes of Rhett McLaughlin, Link Neal, Grace Helbig AND Mamrie Hart? Well, look no further because those charming lads over at SORTEDfood have got you covered!
In this video, Mike Huttlestone, Barry Taylor, and Jamie Spafford are visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who hope to teach the group how to better treat friend Ben Ebbrell. Will the ghosts’ visits be enough for the boys to change their ways? You’ll have to watch to find out.
new year. | antworld
We all know Antoinette Belle is pretty much one of the most artistic people around, so it’s no surprise she’d put a unique twist on the Year In Review video format.
Filled with all sorts of different clips and set to Noah and the Whale’s Blue Skies, Ant’s new year. video left us thinking one word: beautiful. You can see all the hard work she put into this video, and feel the emotion she poured into it. It’s one of the more impactful videos we’ve seen this month, and we can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for Ant.
Tipsy Talk with Jack Black | Hazel Hayes
We’re not going to lie, we were a bit skeptical about going to see the new Jumanji movie, considering how close to our hearts the original is, but after watching Hazel Hayes‘s latest Tipsy Talk with Jack Black, we’re feeling pretty optimistic about it. If you’re like us and are on the fence, we highly suggest giving this video a watch.
It’s no secret we’re big fans of Tipsy Talk, and we have to say that this episode has quickly turned into one of our favourites. We love how effortlessly Hazel and Jack talk about the film, his “beef” with Chris Hemsworth, and the new Tenacious D project, and we were left wishing we could have been a part of the chat too!
What’s This? (Nightmare Before Christmas cover) | petesjams
What’s this? What’s this? A new Pete Bucknall video! What’s this? It’s a brand new cover! What’s this? It’s our favourite song from The Nightmare Before Christmas! We can’t believe our eyes, we must be dreaming! Wake up, TenEighty HQ, this isn’t fair!
We’ve been waiting for one of our faves to cover this track from our all-time favourite Christmas movie (yes, it’s a Christmas movie – anyone who thinks it’s a Halloween one is just plain bonkers) and Pete has pulled through for us! We couldn’t make it through ten seconds without singing along, and Pete’s facial expressions left this one of the most entertaining videos we watched this week.
Just Do It | Spoken Word Poetry | ClickForTaz
Closing out this week’s Round-Up is this incredibly motivational spoken word piece from ClickForTaz.
Throughout life, we’re constantly told we’re not able to do certain things, that we have to follow the path set out for us by society, and to go against our creativity and free will. Well, Taz has a message for us: we’re good enough to achieve whatever we set our minds to. We need to stop being afraid and finally strive for what we want. As long as we keep pushing and working hard, we can achieve our dreams.
Thanks, Taz. We really needed to hear this.
You want more videos? Well, since it’s Christmas…
