Alfie Deyes will partner with early-stage start-ups through a new, currently unnamed, company.
Alfie Deyes has unveiled the first details of his latest business venture after teasing it on social media. Speaking at the recent Lisbon Web Summit, he revealed that the as-yet-unnamed company will focus on investing in small start-up businesses and will launch sometime in 2018.
“I’m all about still doing YouTube and making videos,” he told Business Insider. “But it’s also about teaming up and working with really interesting people, great partnerships, and making cool new stuff that’s never been done before.
“And using my audience — having those guys all brought on board, because they follow my life every single day. It’s about doing bigger picture things, working on new companies and investing in cool new stuff that will benefit myself and my audience.
“It won’t be ‘Alfie Deyes’ [branded], just things I’ve helped shape,” he added.
Details of the new business come amid speculation that Alfie has parted ways with long-term management company Gleam Futures. His name has been missing from a featured list of talent on the company’s website since late November 2017.
While there has been no official comment on the move from either party, Alfie has spent the last few months teasing his new company to viewers via social media:
