Our Seven Favourite Joe Sugg Pranks

How do you craft the perfect prank?

We’d tell you, but we’re not necessarily known to be the craftiest of pranksters. Our idea of the perfect prank is placing a whoopee cushion on an unsuspecting co-worker’s desk chair. (Which is pretty great, if you ask us, but probably not what you’re looking for.) For the best pranking tips, we suggest giving Joe Sugg‘s videos a watch.

For years now, Joe has been sharing his pranking style on YouTube. From balloon-filled rooms to hidden alarm clocks, Joe’s pranks have been outside the box, creating droves of laughter and often leaving us in stitches. Since we love his pranks so much, we thought we’d share a few of our all-time faves with you.

Warning: you might not be able to handle how awesome they are.

Like father, like son

If you were wondering where Joe got his jokester side from, this video will tell you all you need to know: kicking off our list is Joe and his father prank-calling an unsuspecting Oli White. We’ve always been fans of a good prank call (when pulled off, they’re absolutely hilarious), and we definitely think the older Sugg pulled it off – Oli totally fell for his story!

Please, Joe, make more prank videos with your dad. He’s just too funny!

Poor Zoe…

Can you believe it took until earlier this year for Joe to pull a prank on his sister Zoe Sugg? While it might have taken him a while to do so, we think the wait was well worth it.

For this prank, Joe teamed up with Alfie Deyes for a game of what we’ll call Pin the Garden Peg on Zoe. Once she dozed off, the shenanigans began, with Alfie and Joe placing pegs wherever they could. We’re surprised Zoe didn’t wake up, considering the pair placed some in her hair and on her knee, but it definitely made the video that much more entertaining.

Who finally stirred her awake? We won’t give it away, but we will say the match was well-played by both.

OUCH

If there’s one thing we’ve gathered from Joe’s pranks, it’s that Caspar Lee is his favourite target. But can you blame him, considering how many pranks Caspar played on him? As part of his revenge, Joe decided to reinvent a previous prank – but this time with a twist.

We never thought mousetraps and glasses of water could create such an ingenious prank, but we were wrong. While we did feel bad for Caspar (we’re sure triggering those mousetraps was painful), we have to hand it to Joe. The prank was definitely much more successful this time around.

So. Many. Balloons.

We all remember Joe’s balloon prank on Caspar, and he vowed to never attempt such a feat again… Well, never say never, as Joe took it upon himself to have a second go, this time on an unsuspecting Josh Pieters.

With the help of Josh’s friend, a few fake memory cards, and a crap-ton of balloons, Joe was able to turn Josh’s room into a clown’s dream. (And our worst nightmare.) However, while we enjoyed the main prank, we would say our fave part would have to be when Josh got Rickrolled by one of the memory cards. We lost it at that point.

Since when was Joe a grandpa?!

For Joe’s first ever prank, he teamed up with Paramount UK to help promote Bad Grandpa.

If we didn’t know better, we would have never thought this was Joe, as his makeup was superb – it’s no wonder he had the majority of London so confused. From pretending his trousers had fallen down to running away whenever someone handed him his cane, we were dying of laughter throughout this video, and we hope Joe does something similar to this again in the future!

Slippin’ ‘n’ a-slidin’

Who else remembers warm summer afternoons sliding around on a Slip ‘n’ Slide in the back garden? It’s one of our favourite childhood memories, so we were glad to see Joe incorporating a homemade Slip ‘n’ Slide into this prank on Caspar.

We’re not going to lie, we weren’t quite sure how Joe and Josh were going to pull this off without hurting themselves – and we were right to be sceptical. Did you see Joe almost give himself a concussion?! He had us really worried. However, the two managed to pull it off and after a brief moment of annoyance, Caspar was slipping and sliding all across his living room, enjoying a blast from the past.

No sleep for the weary

If you’re a frequent flyer, then one of your biggest fears is missing your flight – whether it’s due to traffic or simply because you slept past your alarm, it’s something that’s always at the back of your mind when you’re headed out on a trip. We’re sure Caspar felt the same way, so we’re glad Joe thought of the perfect solution!

For this prank, Joe bought tons (and we mean tons) of alarm clocks and placed them throughout Caspar’s room. He set them for different times, and at 4.20am the torture began. Overall, we’d have to say Caspar handled it pretty well – we know we wouldn’t have been so kind if we had our sleep interrupted…

Our seven favourite Joe Sugg pranks! We’re not going to lie, he’s given us quite a few ideas on how to mess around with our office mates.
