Liven up your November with some Disney magic!
The nights are pulling in, it’s cold and it’s not quite close enough to Christmas to start feeling festive. (Although, that hasn’t stopped us.) We all need a bit of a pick me up right now and where better to find one than YouTube? Combine that with the guaranteed happiness that comes from anything Disney-related and you’ve got a winner!
Here we go, it’s Five of the Best: Disney Covers!
How Far I’ll Go | Cover | Carrie Hope Fletcher
You can’t have a Disney covers list without YouTube’s ultimate Disney fan, Carrie Hope Fletcher. This beautiful cover of Moana‘s How Far I’ll Go is chill-inducing, with Carrie’s vocal range on full display throughout. Also, did you notice how emotive she is? It’s as if she’s taken on the role herself, and it gives the cover a more powerful presence.
We knew we loved the film’s version of the song, but we didn’t realise we could love it more until we heard Carrie’s take on it.
I Put A Spell On You – Hocus Pocus Cover! | Kelsey Ellison
If you’re not quite ready to let go of the Halloween spirit, Kelsey Ellison’s cover of I Put A Spell On You from Disney’s cult classic Hocus Pocus is perfect for you! This spooky bop is super jazzy, and Kelsey’s voice is as amazing as ever. Plus, her two beautiful witchy looks are great for any glamourous witches out there.
Beauty & The Beast (Cover) | Gary C
Of course, self-proclaimed Disney fanatic Gary C has a multitude of Disney covers on his channel. They’re all amazing, but this Beauty and the Beast cover is particularly beautiful. (No pun intended.) Gary’s voice is really soothing, and the artwork that he does throughout the video is a lovely throwback to the original 1991 animated movie. Perfect if you need something calm to remind you of your childhood.
Frozen Fever – Making Today a Perfect Day Full Song Cover | Noodlerella
Connie Glynn’s cover of Making Today A Perfect Day from Frozen Fever is absolutely ADORABLE, and we can’t get enough of it! But, honestly, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the queen of Disney voices! This video is perfect, right down to the details – the split screen duet, the movie-accurate hairstyles, even the appearance of the court doctor is charming and heartwarming. It would make any frozen heart melt!
Ev’rybody Wants To Be A Cat – The Aristocats | Dave Giles
This acoustic cover of a Disney classic by Dave Giles is perfect for fans of swing. It’s also perfect for fans of cats! (Like us.) Ev’rybody Wants To Be A Cat from The Aristocats is an iconic Disney tune and Dave has made it his own in the best of ways. The only slight problem is that we can’t watch the film without imagining him in cat whiskers…
So there you have it…
Five of the Best: Disney Covers. Hopefully, we’ve filled you with all those happy childhood memories and feelings of nostalgia that Disney offers. These tunes are pretty catchy, but don’t blame us when they get stuck in your head!
