Facebook has revealed a new mobile app for video creators.
The app, Facebook Creator, is designed to boost availability and discoverability of content produced by members of the social network. Its accompanying webpage offers creators access to a range of resources, including live streaming and new ways to connect with their audiences.

In a statement, Facebook’s Production Manager for Video Chris Hatfield addressed how the app was developed to address “specific needs”, including both finding and growing a creator’s audience. He said that “the Facebook Creator app is a one-stop shop for creators of all kinds, to help take their passions to the next level”.
Through the official Facebook Creator website, users are provided tips on promoting content, answers to frequently asked questions, and the opportunity to gain early access to new features and tools. The mobile app offers a live creative kit, a community tab, page insights, and access to Facebook Stories and camera effects.
The mobile app has launched globally for Apple iOS systems and is due to be released for Android in the coming months.
