Planet Earth is truly beautiful.
From its clear blue oceans to its vast jungles and forests, it’s a pretty wonderful place – and one we’d love to explore. However, if you’re like us, travelling might not be possible at the moment, which is why we’re thankful that travel vloggers exist. Through their videos, we’re able to experience all the wonders the world has to offer, right from the comfort of our homes, and one such vlogger allowing us to do that is Ben Brown.
For years, Ben has been making travel vlogs on YouTube, showing viewers his various adventures as he jumps from country to country. We’ve come to love his videos and the beauty they show, so we thought we’d highlight a few videos that made us feel the ultimate wanderlust.
His Arctic adventure
We’re starting off with our all-time favourite video on Ben’s channel, ARTIC – Visual Vibes.
Last year, Ben was able to accompany astronaut Chris Hadfield (what?!) on a trip he’s since called “life-changing”. Along with friends Tim Kellner and Tom Scott, Ben was able to explore the Arctic – and get some pretty good shots as well. We could almost feel the chill in the air watching the glaciers and ice-covered ocean float past the camera, and we were totally in awe over his encounter with that polar bear!
Shipwreck diving
Ever wanted to go diving around a shipwreck, but couldn’t find anyone to accompany you? Then we suggest watching this vlog from Ben. Not only does the water look gorgeous, but it was awesome to see how fish and other sea life can turn sunken wrecks into a thriving ecosystem and home.
However, we will say, he gets far too close to a lionfish for our liking… Does he not know they’re poisonous?! He has to be more careful!
The snowboarding life
We all know how famous Colorado is for skiing and snowboarding, but if there’s one place you simply need to visit if you’re a fan of winter sports, it’s Western Canada. Alberta and British Columbia are home to some pretty killer ski resorts and their hills will leave the daredevil in you raring to go. During the chilly Canadian winter, Ben took a visit to the famous Lake Louise, and we were in awe at how lovely it looks.
Hey, who knows, maybe we’ll head there sometime… Or maybe not. Last time we tried to snowboard, we hurt our arm pretty bad and it’s kind of scarred us.
Atlantis dunes
If there was a time we ever felt truly jealous of Ben’s life, it would have to be when he went driving around the sand dunes. Seriously, the sand looks so calm and gorgeous that it would be a crime to disturb it. Not only was watching the sun rise over the dunes awe-inspiring, but the drone shots throughout the video blew us away.
Road trip!
What’s better than going on a road trip with your friends? Nothing! Back in 2015, Ben set out with Louis Cole, Jack Harries, Matt Miszczak, and Dan Mace for a road trip around beautiful South Africa. This Visual Vibes is beautifully shot and left us seriously wanting to visit South Africa in the near future.
The Canadian scenery
We have three words to describe this video: Oh. My. God.
While in Canada, Ben was able to explore some of the most beautiful wilderness we’ve ever seen! From the country’s vast forests to its lovely blue lakes, it’s surely a sight to see, and we didn’t realise how much this video would leave us wanting to hop on a plane! Anyone up for a trip to the Great White North?
That’s a bit too risky for us
We’re not going to lie, this is where we love the fact that Ben does the travelling for us.
Whilst in Iceland, he, Steve Booker, and friends decided to truly risk it all for the ultimate Instagram photo. We don’t know how they thought this was a good idea, considering that rushing waterfalls aren’t necessarily the safest, but we have to admit, the resulting photo truly is breathtaking. So we guess the risk was worth the reward.
Northern Lights
It’s on our bucket list to experience the Northern Lights firsthand. It’s a natural phenomenon we still can’t wrap our heads around, and we desperately want to experience its beauty in person. So you can bet we were uber jealous that Ben got to see them while in Iceland. What a life he leads, eh?
Everyone got their plane tickets?
Show of hands: who else is ready to pack up their bags and head out on an adventure? We know we are! We can’t believe all the crazy stuff Ben has got to do and experience, and we’re thankful that he continues to share his adventures with us via his videos.
