Something truly special (and weird) comes out of YouTubers when they make a video every day for a month.
To get out of a rut, YouTubers will sometimes make a video every day for a month, a project that often brings about the most interesting and creative videos! VEDA, Vlogtober, and Vlogmas are just some of the iterations of the the “vlog every day” phenomenon. Only the bravest attempt this challenge, and we’ve rounded up the best ones for you to enjoy.
Cosy up with a hot drink and get ready to marathon the funniest, weirdest, and most creative vlogs. It’s Five of the Best: Vlog Every Day Videos!
THE BEST CHRISTMAS FUN | VLOGMAS DAY 1 | Tanya Burr
A classic take on every day vlogging is Vlogmas. To get into the Christmassy mood, there’s nothing better than watching Tanya Burr‘s 2016 Vlogmas series. She vlogged every day up until Christmas Eve, and took us along for all her adventures. Join Tanya as she decorates her tree, opens some presents, tries on Christmas dresses, and goes to fun Christmas parties, all building up to the big day.
We’re not saying we’re getting the Christmas playlists out already, but… We can hardly wait to get those sleigh bells ringing!
my morning routine | Joshua Edwards
Are you ready to get weird? If so, take a dip into VIDEO, Joshua Edwards‘s take on Vlogtober! Some of our highlights include his efficient morning routine, his reading of fanfiction with Lucy Moon, and him acting out a play with Hazel Hayes, Jack Howard, Daniel J. Layton, and dodie.
Josh, also known by dodie fans as “Manager Josh”, took up daily(ish) vlogging because he promised to do so if dodie’s You EP was successful. Josh, you’re officially one of us now. Welcome to the club.
SO HERE’S A TERRIBLE IDEA | radhaggis
If you haven’t seen anything by Ewan McIntosh, then we strongly encourage you to cancel all your plans for the day and get ready to discover your new favourite YouTuber. He’s doing a new video every two days in November (VETDIN?) and it already has the hallmarks of a great series. Join him as he eats soup and chats, or watch his collab with Zannah Perrins.
We can’t wait to see how it all pans outs!
An Introduction | VENATIN | redheadabroad
Erika Felton has come up with a similar concept to Ewan with VENATIN: Video Every Now and Then in November. This wonderful rom-com enthusiast made monthly vlogs last year and we can’t wait to see how this current project pans out. We love her chatty, laid-back vibe, so we are totally ready for this November.
Meet & Greets are a bit weird… – VEDO 1 | Daniel J. Layton
Finally, our favourite incomplete VEDO (yes, that’s totally a category) is Daniel J. Layton‘s attempt this October. His first video was an insightful and honest discussion about meet-and-greet culture, which sprang up after a tweet and poem from Savannah Brown.
Dan’s other VEDOs include an incredible collab with Joshua Edwards explaining Boss Baby and him making a lemon drizzle cake. Despite the fact he didn’t make as many videos as he wanted, the ones he did make were great, and his attempt is definitely one of our faves!
So there you have it…
Five of the Best: Vlog Every Day Videos. We hope we’ve given you plenty of binge material for the long winter nights. And who knows, maybe this will inspire you to try it out for yourself? As we’ve shown, something amazing happens when you put your favourite creators in a pressure cooker, and we hope loads more join the movement!
