Wrapped up in our cosy hand-knitted jumpers and sipping mugs of tea, we’ve been watching our favourite YouTubers…
Autumn is well and truly here, and every snack we’ve eaten this week was pumpkin-flavoured. As the month comes to an end, things are getting spookier and spookier, which can only mean one thing: Halloween is finally upon us! From scary ghosts to creepy spiders, we’re finding ourselves getting more and more into the Halloween spirit, which means it’s time for us to write up yet another Halloween-themed Five of the Best.
Let’s take a look at the YouTubers who are creeping it real!
Is Autumn A Filthy Sell-Out? | Lex Croucher
Nothing got us in the mood for Halloween more than Lex Croucher‘s snappy, analytical video about autumn and its commercialisation. In the video, she talks about how autumn has now become a brand, and she wonders if that can stop us from enjoying it to its full extent. Like us, she agrees that the answer is definitely not.
Thanks for keeping us woke, Lex!
HALLOWEEN SHOPPING WITH THE SUGGS | PointlessBlogVlogs
At this point, autumn is practically synonymous with Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes. Their videos always manage to get us into the Halloween spirit like none other, and this vlog featuring them shopping for Halloween goodies is no exception. Join the adorable Zalfie (in their even more adorable matching yellow tops) on a trip out to pick pumpkins!
Along with Joe Sugg, they also get us pumped for the quickly-approaching HelloWorld, which is set to occur just days before Halloween! We wonder if the trio (mainly Joe) will get up to some spooky business whilst at the event… Best keep an eye out, lest they jump out and give you a scare!
Cleopatra Egyptian Goddess Halloween MakeUp Tutorial | Shonagh Scott
If you’re stuck for inspiration for your Halloween costume and happen to know your way around a makeup brush, then we highly suggest giving Shonagh Scott‘s channel a watch. In the lead-up to Halloween, Shonagh’s been showing us how to pull off the best costumes. Our favourite? This Cleopatra-inspired look!
What can we say, other than that the eyeshadow is a work of art and that bold gold lipstick gives us some major fashion vibes. Here’s hoping we can replicate this look ourselves!
Halloween Baking – MONSTER POPS! | Daniel Howell
Of course, Halloween is the season for stuffing our faces with sweets. If you fancy making some creepy yet delicious treats for yourselves, then why not try following Daniel Howell and Phil Lester‘s masterful guidance?
In this video, the pair show us how to make delicious cake pops, and, surprisingly, things actually turn out okay for once. (Who remembers the sludgy green, spooky cupcakes from 2014?) By the end of the video, we’re left with monster pops that have us equal parts spooked and drooling. However, if we’re being honest, we mainly just watched the video for the bants, whilst eating some Maltesers…
Halloween! British VS American | Evan Edinger
Mark Ferris and Evan Edinger are the dynamic duo ready to talk about all the differences between America and the UK when it comes to Halloween. Not only do they discuss their favourite costumes and sweets, but they even delve into the best trick-or-treating techniques, which we totes need to utilise. Our sweet yield over the past few years has been dismal at best…
This has definitely gotten us ready to get our pumpkin baskets and get knocking on doors!
So there you have it…
Five more our favourite Halloween videos, collected in the hopes of getting you in the sweet-eating and scary-film-watching mood! We hope that you’ve been inspired to embrace Halloween and get creative with your costumes!
