Dan Howell and Phil Lester have released Truth Bombs, a game created with Big Potato.
Dan and Phil announced the “party card/board game” in a video with TomSka and Hazel Hayes. The game is released by Big Potato, the company behind Obama Llama and Bucket of Doom, which have previously appeared on Phil’s channel.
The game came about because Phil disliked awkward conversations and so would invent games to play. After coming up with the idea of Truth Bombs, then meeting the team at Big Potato, the duo realised that Phil’s imaginary ice-breaker game could be made into a physical board game sold by retailers.
The description on Dan and Phil’s official website states that players “answer questions about each other and [should] prepare for funny facts, awkward admissions, and random revelations that’ll cause explosions of laughter”.

Upon opening the box, customers will be gifted with a “slightly creepy polaroid” of Dan and Phil giving birth to the game – quite literally in a hospital maternity ward. Orders also come with some free stickers.
The announcement video, on the DanAndPhilGAMES channel, features almost 20 minutes of live play, revealing to the audience what they should expect from the game.
Truth Bombs is a game for between four and eight players, which takes approximately 20 minutes to play. Players are suggested to be aged 14 or above. A tutorial video in which Dan and Phil instruct viewers how to play has also been released on their channel.
Big Potato have also tweeted a GIF showing a “sneaky peek of the mysterious content inside #TruthBombs”:
