Vlogbrothers star Hank Green recently announced his debut novel on Twitter, and a UK release has now been confirmed.
Thanks to Trapeze Publishing, Hank‘s book, titled An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, will be released in the UK during autumn 2018.
The story follows student April May, who is living in New York City. She comes across an impressive, mysterious sculpture of a giant robot in midtown Manhattan – one of many that have appeared across the world. April, with the help of friend Andy Skampt, names the figure and makes a video with it. She suddenly finds herself thrust into the middle of the spotlight as she ventures on to find out who and what these figures are.
I have a British publisher! Also, they are excited! https://t.co/kyrRVJ0dME

According to The New York Times, the novel is largely based on Hank’s own experiences with internet fame and anxiety.
In an announcement quoted by The Bookseller, Hank stated: “It’s a story I’ve wanted to tell for a long time that was seeded by a lot of my personal experiences, but it’s April’s story, and it’s been a pleasure watching her live her absolutely remarkable life. I’m so excited to have the support of Trapeze in helping get this book out to folks in the UK. As soon as we announced, people were asking if it would be available overseas and I’m so happy to have the support of my UK community.”
