Tweets of the Week: 25 September – 1 October 2017

Another week, another YouTube festival has come and gone…

This past weekend, we were fortunate enough to attend Buffer Festival in Canada – the land of beavers, maple syrup, and money that’s made of colourful plastic. (We know, we find it weird too.) And after lots of laughs, creativity, and copious amounts of Tim Hortons consumed, we’d like to think it was a pretty successful weekend overall.

However, given that Buffer Festival occurred across the pond, loads of our readers weren’t really able to attend, which we’re sure left many feeling pretty down – but fear not! We know exactly how to turn those frowns upside down: with hilarious YouTuber tweets! So take a seat and prepare to LOL at the crazy things our faves had to say this week.

So. Much. Food.

Sorry NeonFiona, after much deliberation, the only solution we could come up with was that you’ll have to quit YouTube and become the UK’s next MasterChef champion. It’s the only way to ensure that Riley J. Dennis never goes hungry again!

But really, who still uses Facebook?

Guy Larsen, what we’ve learnt since starting Tweets of the Week is that Facebook is desperately trying to retain its users by acting like that one aunt who simply won’t leave you alone and always goes out of her way to tell you what you’re doing wrong with your life.

The #Top5Crisps debate

We love you and all, Emma Blackery, but you’ve got your list all wrong. Obviously, the top five crisps are:

  1. Tayto Cheese & Onion
  2. Walkers Prawn Cocktail
  3. BBQ Beef Hula Hoops
  4. Cheesy Wotsits
  5. McCoy’s Salt & Vinegar

(However, if you ask this writer, All Dressed is hands down, without a doubt, the best crisp flavour in existence. Brits don’t know what they’re missing out on!)

The pier saga

We’ve all been there. You’re casually walking along a pier, minding your own business, when all of a sudden you get smacked in the face by Dodie Clark‘s hand…

So… We feel Daniel J. Layton needs some more excitement in his life.

Flying isn’t for everyone

Of course, now it all make sense! Obviously the Michelin Man chose to be a mascot to hide the fact that flying doesn’t necessarily agree with him. Thanks, Laura Bubble!

Taha Khan truly is #blessed.

Hi, Rik!

We simply couldn’t close out the week without giving a huge congratulations to Eddie Bowley and his wife, who welcomed their son, Rik, into the world. We’re glad to see both mother and son are happy and healthy!
