At TenEighty HQ, we’re perfectly happy always keeping two feet firmly on the ground.
However, for Harry Gallagher, the sky’s the limit. After starting on YouTube nearly three years ago, Harry’s channel (Night Scape) and fanbase have rapidly grown, recently reaching 700,000 subscribers. His videos feature some of the most daring and gravity-defying parkour we’ve seen on YouTube. Name any building (or thing) in London and Harry’s probably climbed it, or at least thought about doing so. And it’s because of that and the spectacular production quality that we’re super into Night Scape’s content.
So without further ado, here are six times Night Scape defied gravity while simultaneously blowing our minds. Don’t look down, guys…
Climbing a building in Dubai, with a view of the Burj Khalifa
Given the chance to travel to Dubai, we’d probably do some shopping, relax on the beach, and maybe even soak in some of the city’s fascinating history. But nope, not Harry. During his short stay in the modern city, he and a friend decided to climb a collection of tall buildings. However, it was the building seen in this video that impressed us the most: Burj Khalifa, a.k.a. the world’s tallest building. Super scary stuff.
Rather you than us, Harry.
Walking on the roof of West Ham Stadium in the Olympic Park
As if sitting and watching the pitch wasn’t enough, Harry and a few others decided to climb West Ham Stadium, which is located in London’s Olympic Park. The group managed to find a way onto the roof of the giant stadium, which had a spectacular view, despite the wind.
Harry can certainly tick “climb a massive football stadium” off his bucket list.
Climbing the O2 Arena with a band of seven lads
The O2 Arena is iconic, and on this occasion, Harry and seven other lads decided to brave the dome and climb to the very top. The dome itself is made from a super lightweight plastic, which was luckily strong enough to hold the group.
The drone shots captured at the top of the structure were some of Night Scape’s best, and we’re seriously convinced that Harry is part spider, part man. Hmm, perhaps he’s the new Spider-man!
Climbing a skyscraper next to the Shard
The Shard is one of London’s most famous buildings, and it literally sticks out from the rest of the surrounding city skyline. From the ground, it’s definitely a spectacular piece of architecture, but how about from 100 metres up?
In the video above, we see Harry climb the skyscraper that neighbours the Shard, and thanks to him and his camera, we get to see the glass structure in all its nighttime beauty.
Touching the top of the One Canada Square building
The One Canada Square building, also know as the Canary Wharf Tower, is a fantastic 235 metres high. So, of course, Harry had to climb it somehow. During his adventure, he reached the very pinnacle of the building, which comes together to form a point. And gives our stomachs butterflies just thinking about it. Yikes.
Exploring an abandoned theme park in Berlin
This adventure had all us wishing we’d tagged along, just for the cool experience. We mean, it’s not every day you find a completely abandoned theme park, with a whole ferris wheel still intact.
This theme park in Berlin was well and truly abandoned, almost like everyone had just got up and left. Even the rollercoaster track and carriages were all present. In this video, Harry attempts to climb an abandoned ferris wheel, which produced some pretty cool footage, that’s for sure.
Feeling the altitude sickness yet?
We admire Harry’s bravery, as it means people like us can enjoy fabulous views without actually having to take even one foot off the floor. We’re certainly not about encouraging the scaling of ginormous skyscrapers, but we can certainly appreciate the time and effort Harry puts into his videos, convincing people everywhere to go out and do something. We’re totally down for some exploring. Just maybe a little lower altitude, yeah?
