Another week, another set of tweets to laugh at.
With summer slowly turning into autumn, we need something to cheer ourselves up with. Enter Twitter! Whether we’re feeling down about something as trivial as the cold weather, or something much bigger like how we’re all living on a planet that will eventually be hit by a massive asteroid hurtling through space, Twitter is always there to cheer us up.
From hilarious personal anecdotes to embarrassing moments, many of our faves use the site to keep in touch with viewers. So here are our ten fave tweets from the past week. Prepare to be cheered up!
Oh, no, my Cheds
I accidentally sat on a packet of cheddars today and heard my 4 year old niece say "oh no, my cheds" faintly from across the room
— π¦ hats π¦ (@Hattiethepirate) September 8, 2017
At a family reunion 20 years in the future, Hattie Clark‘s niece will see her and remember the time she sat on her pack of Mini Cheddars.
Way to scar your niece for life, Hattie.
The avocado, tomato, and basil sandwich saga
Come on Twitter, do your thing π pic.twitter.com/Jdgenr8I7f
— Luke Cutforth π (@LukeIsNotSexy) September 6, 2017
One of our favourite things to come out of this past week was Luke Cutforth‘s quest for Sainsbury’s avocado, tomato, and basil sandwich. The company challenged him to get 500,000 retweets for 100 free sandwiches, and we’re rooting for him – and we’re not the only ones! More than 33,000 people have shared his tweet, Graham Norton and Harry Potter‘s James Phelps among them!
We hope you get your sandwiches, Avocado Sandwich Boy.
London bus system = conquered
Today I managed to successfully get on a bus that only comes every two hours
Too much time spent in London makes that feel like a success
— Leadley (@musicalbethan) September 6, 2017
Tell us your secrets, Bethan Leadley! We’ve been trying to master London’s bus system for years, only to fail and have everyone laugh in our faces as we run after the bus.
On fleek!

Honestly, is there a look Mark Ferris can’t pull off?! It’s so unfair how awesome he looks in every style!
Umm…
I love popping Molly! π―π₯βπ»
*he says as his best friend Molly spontaneously combusts, and blood goes everywhere*
— Yung Chai (@MyNamesChai) September 5, 2017
We’re not quite sure what to say about this, Chai Cameron, so we’re going to say nothing at all…
What does GTA stand for?
it's 1:26 am and i just found out the game's called grand theft auto because that's the police code for a car theft my world has been shaken
— Ewan McIntosh (@Ewan_McIntosh) September 5, 2017
We do worry about you sometimes, Ewan McIntosh.
What?!
How did I end up with a boy who says things like "I'm not one for cold pizza" and "I don't like laying in bed"? pic.twitter.com/kFKkTGqHKa
— Jake Edwards πΈ (@jakeftmagic) September 9, 2017
Jake Edwards, we think you need to have a chat with Alex Bertie. There’s nothing (we repeat, nothing) better than eating a slice of cold pizza whilst laying in bed. NOTHING.
So. Many. Puns.
sorry Hovis can't come to the phone right now
Why
Oh because he's bread pic.twitter.com/YG9tM7ilvW
— Sammy (@SammyAlbon) September 6, 2017
Some call the police because Sammy Albon needs to be jailed for his overuse of cheesy dad puns.
(The Hovis pun did actually make us laugh, just don’t tell Sammy that.)
#SquadGoals
don't mind me just doing squad goals in front of JLaw pic.twitter.com/hq8xuFHPnX
— Jack Howard (@JackHoward) September 7, 2017
Don’t mind, Jack Howard. He’s just casually bragging about how awesome his new squad is.
What do you mean you’re not excited for the royal baby?!
The Walmart lady asked if I am excited about the royal baby. I said I couldn't care less.
She looked like she'd found out Santa wasn't real.— Taha Khan (@KhanStopMe) September 8, 2017
Leave it to Taha Khan to let Canadians know that the British are, in fact, not as obsessed with the Royal Family as everyone thinks we are. However, we do think he could have done it with touch more kindness – the Walmart employee seemed quite upset at the news.
So there you have it…
The best YouTuber tweets from the past week! We hope they made you LOL as much as us. If not, then we suggest you go to the doctor, because your funny bone must be broken.
