It’s that time of year again.
What time, you ask? Time to team up with our fave creators to help raise money for cancer research. Like in previous years, Stand Up To Cancer UK will be hosting the #StandUpWithYT live stream, and it’s gearing up to be the best one yet! Last year’s live stream raised nearly £200,000, and it’s everyone’s hope that this year’s will raise even more, which is why we’ve decided to give you a handful of reasons why you can’t miss this year’s stream.
1. The lineup is massive
This year’s #StandUpWithYT lineup is larger than ever! Hosted by Oli White, Niki and Sammy Albon, Jack Maynard, Josh Pieters, Made In Chelsea‘s Ollie Locke, and BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Yasmin Evans, it’ll see more YouTubers than ever coming together for a good cause.
The line-up is as follows: Barry Lewis, Bethan Leadley, Carly Rowena, Casey Barker, Daniel Dobbs, Doug Armstrong, Em Ford, Gary C, Hannah Witton, Jimmy Hill, James Welsh, Joe Thomlinson, Josiah Hyacinth, blogger Kat Farmer, Katie Pix, Katie Snooks, Leon Bustin and John Chapman of The Lean Machines, Lewys Ball, LDShadowlady, Lucy and Lydia Connell, Lucy Moon, Marc Zapanta, Mavric Wolves, Megan Ellaby, Niomi Smart, Pete Bucknall, Riyadh Khalaf, Scola Dondo, Séan Garnier, Stephanie Lange, John Quilter, Tom Scott, Matt Adlard, and Yammy_xox.
Wow, we’re out of breath just listing them all!
2. Shockolate cake
Wooohoo can't wait! https://t.co/zm1bHzhbQe
— Topless Baker (@toplessbaker) September 3, 2017
We all know how great a baker Matt Adlard is (his treats always look too good to eat), but have you ever wondered what would happen if he tried decorating a cake while being shocked? Well… probably not, but that’s exactly what’ll be happening during the first hour of the live stream! Be sure to tune in as Matt tries to decorate a chocolate cake while receiving numerous electric shocks.
Things are going to get messy.
3. The annoying fashionable orange
We’ll be getting stylish at #StandUpwithYT on Thursday! With a little help from the awesome @doesmybumlook40 & @meganellaby 😀
— StandUpToCancerUK (@StandUp2C) September 3, 2017
If you’re like us, then you think orange is a pretty snazzy colour – it’s not quite red and it’s not quite yellow, and makes the sky look incredible in the evening. However, it’s not necessarily a colour you’d think of wearing, because you’re not quite sure how to pair it with anything without looking like a fruit.
Megan Ellaby and Kat Farmer to the rescue! During the fashion hour of the stream, the pair will be offering viewers a masterclass on how to wear orange – and look good too!
4. Tiny FoodTube
You might not think food is cute, but imagine it itty bitty – now we’re talking! My Virgin Kitchen’s Barry Lewis will be recreating some popular dishes, but with one catch: they’ll be the tiniest dishes you’ve ever seen! They’ll not only leave you saying “aww”, but leave you starving as well.
Anyone want to pass us some dinner? We’re famished!
5. So much Sims
I'm going to be part of the @StandUp2C charity livestream tomorrow at 5pm BST with @LDShadowLady! 🎮 We will be streaming on our channels!
— Yammy 🎀 (@yammy_xox) September 6, 2017
Love watching Sims playthroughs? Then you’re in luck, as this year’s live stream will feature a gaming hour dedicated to the game, as well as to FIFA. Join Niki and Sammy Albon, Yasmin Evans, LDShadowlady, Yammy_xox, Mavric Wolves, and Séan Garnier as they take gaming to a whole other level!
6. Hahaha
The final hour of the live stream – which is set to be hosted by Jack Maynard and Josh Pieters – will be solely dedicated to comedy, so prepare to LOL so hard you’ll fall out of your seat! We don’t want to give too much away, but be warned: you’re bound to see some hilarious antics.
7. Speed yoga
Catch fitness stars @ScolaDondo and @CarlyRowena showing @OllieLocke a thing or two at #StandUpwithYT on Thursday! 💪💪💪
— StandUpToCancerUK (@StandUp2C) September 5, 2017
We all love watching Scola Dondo and Carly Rowena’s fitness videos, so prepare for them to bring their A-game to the live stream! The pair will be participating in speed yoga, which we have a feeling won’t leave them feeling as calm as regular yoga would.
It’s bound to be a hilarious segment that’ll leave everyone in a fit of giggles!
8. Raising money for a great cause
It’s important to remember that, while the live stream will be an entertaining time, its main goal is to help raise money for cancer research – so be sure to both donate and raise awareness tomorrow. Join the conversation online by using the hashtag #StandUpWithYT, and help spread the word about tomorrow’s stream.
Let’s beat last year’s total and raise even more for cancer research!
Let’s show cancer who’s boss!
We hope our list has got you stoked for tomorrow’s live stream! Be sure to be sat in front of your computer at 5pm to take in all the hilarious antics, activities, and laughs, all while helping a good cause! We know we’ll be watching.
