Who doesn’t love a bit of magic?
Here at TenEighty HQ, we’re huge fans of Steven Bridges and his magical talents. Without fail, he always manages to leave us feeling shook and wondering how on earth he’s able to defy the laws of the universe. Seriously, how does he do it?! We NEED to know!
Since we’re such big fans of Steven, we thought we’d share with you seven of the times his magic blew our minds. Warning: these tricks will leave you feeling just as perplexed as we are.
How are coins able to pass through glass?!
Just from reading the title of this video, we knew this trick would have us shook, but we were certain he wasn’t going to pull it off. Embarrassingly, we were proven wrong, as Steven passed not one but four coins through a glass table.
Please, no one let him anywhere near a bank. Who knows what he’ll have up his sleeve – literally.
The time the card was blue
This trick had us wondering if we needed to book an appointment with the optician!
In this video, Steven takes a blue gel, which is used for photography, and simply blows our minds. A card starts off being red, but by the end somehow manages to turn blue. Honestly, we must have blinked and missed something – it just isn’t possible for a card to change colours like that.
It’s like reliving the dress fiasco all over again. Is the card red, or is it blue? No-one knows!
The time Steven combined a card trick with fire
This certainly started off as a simple card trick. (We say simple, but we definitely wouldn’t be able to do any of Steven’s card tricks.) Steven asks Amelia Mandeville to write her name on a card, then asks sister Grace Mandeville to write her initials on a 50p coin. The anticipation was killing us, as we didn’t know what was going to happen next, and before we knew it the pack of cards was on FIRE. The coin had managed to burn through the pack, landing on a specific card. Can you guess which one?
One word: shook.
Biscuit Russian Roulette
This trick certainly had us watching from behind a pillow.
Steven asked Savannah Brown to pick four biscuits, one of which he placed a craft-knife blade inside. Savannah was then tasked to mix up the order in which they sat, without Steven watching. Steven then proceeded to eat three of the biscuits and, to our amazement, managed to successfully avoid the spiky biscuit
One again, we were left with one question: “HOW?!?!?!?!”
The balloon trick
This trick left us aghast – and wondering how much money Steven must save on superglue.
In this video, Steven uses a pencil to pop a yellow balloon. Then, right before our eyes, manages to fix it and blow it up again. We seriously have no idea how he managed to do this… Does anyone have any ideas?
The time he pulled a handkerchief through an iPhone
We’ve tried numerous times to replicate this trick with our own phones, but unfortunately haven’t had any luck doing so. For this trick, Steven takes a handkerchief – a classic magic prop – and combines it with an iPhone 6 Plus. To our utter disbelief, he somehow manages to pull the piece of red silk through the phone!
We’re shook. Absolutely shook.
The time he tried some photograph magic
This trick had us wondering what kind of super high-tech editing software Steven uses.
In this video, Elisa Spigariol writes her name on a blank playing card, and poses with said card. Then, in classic Steven Bridges fashion, Ellie is made to pick a card from a pack of playing cards: the nine of hearts. Steven then, to our disbelief, transfers the ink from the card onto the photo on Ellie’s phone, meaning that the photo ends up being one of Ellie HOLDING the nine of hearts with her name written over top.
How. Is. That. Even. Possible?
Is your mind blown?
Because ours definitely is! We actually can’t believe how talented a magician Steven is, and we can’t wait to see what terrific trick he comes up with next. Who knows? Maybe he’ll allow us to guest star in his next video – we’d love to see his magic firsthand.
