Summer is slowly coming to an end…
Most festivals – both the music and YouTube kinds – are over for the summer, and we couldn’t be more disappointed. However, we do love the idea of taking time to actually relax and enjoy what we have left of our holidays. Fingers crossed we have nice weather for a little while! This week, we’ve already seen people wearing their autumn jackets. Ugh, that weather can wait until uni starts back up, please and thank you.
Anyway, we don’t want to ramble on too much. Here’s this week’s Round-Up!
Salted Chocolate Frostino | Topless Baker
Costa promises to deliver a feeling of delightful indulgence with their Frostino iced coffee drinks, describing them as “a little moment of pleasure in a cup”.
Combining our favourite elements, caramel and chocolate, to come up with his own recipe, Matt Adlard‘s salted chocolate creation sounds just as – if not more – delicious as the eight different flavours Costa offers. Thank goodness we’re not allowed to have coffee after dinner or else we’d be making one of these straight away.
This is Nanjing | redheadabroad
Erika Felton spent five years living in China. During that time, she showed us Bejing, The Great Wall, and the 798 Art District, but she never showed us Nanjing. This week, we finally get a glimpse of the place Erika called home for so long. The way she shows us the city is beautiful – so much so, it makes us want to move there.
The Hearty Nutritious Lion King Parody | TenThousandHawks
You think you know what to expect from Jake Pemberton‘s newest video, but you don’t. It starts one way, but seven seconds in, you realise you were wrong. Then, just as you get comfortable, it takes another turn.
Honestly, this video was a rollercoaster from start to finish, but that’s probably what makes it so captivating. Plus, we learned a valuable lesson, which you wouldn’t expect from a Lion King parody.
Neat, Practical Planning Without the Fuss – 7 Simple Planner//Journal Tips and Elements | Minnie Small
Minnie Small‘s latest video has dual purpose: to help you perfect your bullet journals/planners, and as a form of ASMR.
We’re so thankful for the first purpose. We’ve been pretty stressed out lately, but luckily Minnie has come in clutch just when we need her. Her journals are so aesthetically pleasing, and watching her organise is mesmerising.
Throw the Fear | Sammy Paul
If you haven’t watched the video Sammy Paul directed for Tom Rosenthal‘s Throw the Fear yet, what have you been doing this week?!
Tom has created brilliant song after brilliant song, and this one is no exception. Combine this with Ciaran OBrien‘s cinematography and Sammy’s direction and you have a recipe for success. Filmed in one take, it’s an absolutely stunning and joyous video that’ll blow you away.
We need you to do exactly what Sammy asked: put this video on the biggest screen you can and pump up the volume. You won’t be sorry.
Want more? Don’t sweat it, we’ve got you covered.
Trisha Patel, who, believe it or not, is not one of the Patil sisters from Harry Potter, is here to ease your worries about your not-so-good A-level results.
Are you someone who wants to start a YouTube channel, but are worried you don’t have the equipment? Never fear, Greg Morrison discusses what you’re actually going to need to start your channel up.
Been wondering what’s in those eBay mystery boxes? Thankfully, we have Phil Lester to put the mystery to rest.
The newest episode of Jamie Pine‘s series is out. We kind of want some of that guacamole – it might make life interesting.
