We’re a big fan of PJ Liguori’s Slurp series, so we were totally down to drink some tea and ask some questions at Slurp Live!
The panel room filled up super quickly and we were lucky enough to get a seat and see what quirky questions PJ had to answer. So, without further ado, here are some of our fave slurps from Slurp Live at Summer in the City 2017.
The questions began with PJ spilling his “tea” (nice one), which was a great way to get things started. The first slurp that kicked things off was a question about what PJ thought contributed to his imaginative personality. The answer was a collection of things, but mostly video games and old cartoons. (Two of our faves, tbh.) This certainly explains PJ’s crazy, cool illustration style.
The following slurps revealed that if PJ could create ANY item of merch, he would release a line of – wait for it – pyjamas. Named KickThePJs, we think this idea could go far. Also, speaking of merch, PJ said that he’s currently working on some top secret plans to release a t-shirt, for a limited time only!
PJ answered a handful of questions about his creative process and his YouTube videos. We found out that, when in a creative slump, his advice for the best thing to do is take a break and go find something else to do. Insightful stuff. PJ also said that his favourite video that he’s ever made is his Colour Bandits video, because it was “so fun to make”.
PJ managed to share his most embarrassing moment of all time. He told us about his attempts to dye his hair blonde and how on both occasions it failed miserably. *embarrassed slurp.*
Another slurp revealed that PJ loves living in Brighton. He says it’s like living in London, but with the volume turned down. He said it’s great to live in a cool, chilled-out place. Perhaps we should take a trip?
In case you were wondering, if PJ could be any monster, he’d be his not-so-adorable character Fuzzwald the penguin. Also, his favourite Overwatch character is Mei, and the mystery of bagged juices still remains unsolved.
