Wanderlust: a strong desire to travel.
As well as being a master of puns, we think it’s fair to say Evan Edinger is also a travel vlog connoisseur. We never know where he’ll be jetting off to next, but whether it’s a beachside bench in California or an idyllic lake in the mountains of New Zealand, Evan never fails to bring out the adventurer in all of us. He’s always showing us the world through his eyes, from business class to Seoul, to laying under the stars on the other side of the world, along with all the bumps on the way. (Namely the cactus incident in the Grand Canyon.)
So, before we book ourselves a one-way ticket to who-knows-where, here are six time Evan’s travel vlogs gave us major wanderlust.
The time Evan and Dodie roadtripped in New Zealand
In 2015, Evan travelled to New Zealand and Australia with his number one pal, Dodie Clark. The duo began the trip by hiring a totally “far out” campervan, which was the ideal way to see the sights that New Zealand has to offer. Well, let’s be honest, you can’t visit the other side of the world and not travel in style.
Roadtripping in a campervan has definitely made it onto our bucket list. Now we just need to figure out which side of the road they drive on in New Zealand. Anyone want to fill us in?
The autumnal drone shots in Stockholm
Would it really be an Evan Edinger travel vlog if we didn’t get to see a few drone shots? We think not.
Back in October 2016, Evan travelled to Stockholm, Sweden and during his time there he managed to capture the beauty of autumn within the country. We really appreciate the copious amounts of drone footage of the foliage. We’re the first to reblog autumnal posts on Tumblr, so, given the chance, we’d be straight on a plane to see what Sweden has to offer in the fall.
The time he just sat and played the ukulele on a bench in LA
This past March, Evan travelled from Hawaii to Los Angeles on a US adventure we wish we’d been a part of. On this occasion, he managed to give us major wanderlust by simply sitting down with his ukulele in the sun. With the Californian sunshine beating down on him, Evan played us a rendition of Twenty One Pilots’ Ride.
Could someone pass us the suncream? This is where we’d like to be 24/7.
The time there was a dog on his plane
During Evan’s travels in Hawaii, he encountered a furry friend on one of his (many) Hawaiian flights. We honestly don’t think it gets any better than having a dog named Titan on your flight. We feel that having a dog onboard should definitely be made mandatory for all flights – it would certainly cure any pre-flight jitters, that’s for sure.
The park full of deer in Japan
During Evan’s adventures in Japan, he and his posse visited Nara Deer Park. And yes, it’s exactly how it sounds: a park full of deer. The whole vlog is like something from an episode of our favourite anime, with the cute deer, cherry blossoms, and sunshine. We feel like feeding ducks at the park isn’t exactly the same as petting adorable deer in Japan, so we’re extremely jealous of Evan’s deer encounters.
The multiple Disney vlogs
We’re pretty sure Evan’s been to the majority of the Disney parks in existence, which is quite an achievement in itself. From Orlando to Paris, we’re yet to find out which one is best, but one thing’s for sure: we won’t find a more magical place than a Disney park.
Quick, someone hand us the Mickey ears. We’re ready to do some exploring ASAP!
Feeling the wanderlust yet?
We definitely are. It’s obvious that Evan loves to travel and it looks like he’s given us the travel bug as well. Don’t be surprised if we don’t update the site for a few weeks – it simply means we’re jet setting around the world, fulfilling this newfound wanderlust.
