Sul sul, hooba noobie?!
Dil Howlter. The Sim we all aspire to be. The Sim around whom our lives have revolved since 2014. The master mixologist who’s slightly clumsy and has given birth to an alien baby. Quite honestly, Dil’s life has become an obsession of ours, and we have Dan Howell and Phil Lester to blame. If it weren’t for them, we’d have never met Dil and become fanatics of his!
We’ve been watching Dan and Phil’s playthrough of The Sims 4 since the beginning, and it’s reached a point where we feel we know Dil more than we know our own friends and family. We’ve watched him become a mad scientist, marry the love of his life, and host many a cool (and stressful) party. And since we love the series so much, we thought we’d share with you some of our favourite moments.
The hot dog suit
Why wear a drab suit and tie when you can be the life of the party by being a human-sized hotdog?!
The skate ramp roof
If there’s one thing we’d been wondering about before this series, it was Dan and Phil’s ability to design a house. Well, now we know and it’s safe to say their flair for design is a little… umm… unique? So unique, in fact, that it’s actually ingenious! We mean, why have a boring roof when you can have one that also doubles as the ultimate skate ramp?!
Also, we can’t help but think that the small, little roof in the corner is totally adorbz.
His worst enemy
Just when we thought Dil had made his first real friend since arriving in town, things turned sour as Erika suddenly made it quite clear she wanted nothing to do with him. And to think, all he wanted to do was share his hamburger cake with her.

Mirror butt
Come for the bants, stay for Phil’s mirror butt jingles.
His stalker
At first, Dan and Phil foolishly thought Eliza Pancakes could be Dil’s next love interest, only to find out she was married to Bob. However, that’s not the only thing they learned. Not long after, they discovered she was one of the most dedicated stalkers around!
Yes, we know Dil’s bunny slippers are adorable and his mirror butt is mesmerising, but leave him alone, Eliza! Don’t make him use the freeze ray on you.
Master mixologist
Throughout the series, we’ve seen Dil become one hell of a bartender. Long gone are the days of him spilling drinks all over himself. If only he’d stop making drinks at the worst possible times…
Melapples
You knew Dil was a master chef and lover of fishing, but did you know he was also a world-famous painter? It’s true! We were blown away by his sheer talent upon seeing Melapples, and we were more than devastated when Dan and Phil misplaced it. Thank goodness the Phandom were able to do some detective work and retrieve it.
Dil and Tabitha’s wedding
After many episodes of dating (and quite an interesting camping trip), Dil and Tabitha tied the knot at a home ceremony that left us in a puddle of tears. It was so endearing to see our awkward friend marry the love of his life.
We also couldn’t overlook how dapper Dan and Phil looked in their tuxes.
The aura garden
We were slightly creeped out by those figurines Dil kept digging up in the garden. (What’s up with their weird auras?!) So when Dan and Phil arranged them in the backyard to be used as ray testers, we were quite excited. Why have a creepy statue when you can have a new lamp?!
Setting Bob and Eliza’s bed on fire
Poor Bob. All he wanted was to be left alone, but would Dil oblige? No. First, he had to go and change one of Bob and Eliza’s beds into a treadmill, then he went and set the other one on fire! What on Earth?!
Dab’s birth
It seems like only yesterday that Dab was a cute little baby – honestly, he was so small! Now, he’s a growing boy, and one who is a little creeped out by the dragon plushie Tabitha keeps talking to…
Whilst we never want to comment on someone’s looks, we have to say we miss the heck out of that mop of hair Dab had as a toddler. Dil and Tabitha, stop being sticklers and let him grow his hair back out!
The freeze ray
Dil’s freeze ray is pretty much the coolest invention we’ve ever seen! (We’ll show ourselves out.)
No, but seriously, it’s probably best not to get on Dil’s bad side, lest you end up like his poor coworker… Maybe someone should grab him a jacket.
Dil’s abduction (and alien birth?!)
Tabitha is ALWAYS getting abducted by aliens, so it was only a matter of time before it happened to Dil too. However, what we didn’t expect was he’d get pregnant as a result! How on Earth did he manage to give birth?!
…On second thoughts, we’d rather not know.
So there you have it…
Our favourite moments from Dan and Phil Play: The Sims 4! We told you we were a little obsessed. We wish the pair would uploaded new videos for the series more often. We NEED to know what happens next, now that Dalien has been born!
