It’s a bit hot outside, isn’t it? Over at TenEighty HQ we’ve been sweating buckets for the last few days, so Patricia Bright’s summer-proof makeup and beauty tips couldn’t have come sooner!
Patricia‘s is the first of several videos in the Diet Coke Break digital series, set to be released across this year, forming part of Diet Coke’s Get The Gang Back Together campaign. Patricia will be joined by George Benson for the series, which will include videos on the themes of fashion, beauty, and travel.
In the video, Patricia shares some simple yet brilliant advice for how to avoid melting makeup and a sweaty complexion. “Normally I leave my house, I feel fresh, I feel matte, I feel gorgeous,” she says, “and then in ten minutes I look in my reflection, and like, what on earth has happened?”
Her hacks include investing in some waterproof foundation and baby powder to keep your skin looking matte, or even trying out some semi-permanent makeup like eyelash tints and perms, so you don’t need to refresh your makeup every half an hour in the heat!
As for when you’re on holiday and don’t want to have a lot to maintain, Patricia suggests tying your hair up in a sleek bun or ponytail. It’s a great style and also helps keep your hair out of the way while you’re at the beach.
All Patricia’s hacks are quick and easy to achieve, and will leave you looking sun-kissed and radiant without hours of preparation! We’ll definitely be trying some of these out ourselves.
Her last tip is our favourite. Rather than trying to hide the sweaty sheen, you can do the reverse instead; make it look intentional by enhancing it with a silver highlighter and eye shadow. “It just makes it look like it’s a natural glow from the inside out honey,” says Patricia. “It’s not sweat, it’s glow!”
We think we’ve just found our summer catchphrase.
