Zoe London’s old Hollywood-inspired summer lookbook is exquisite in every way.
The lookbook takes us on a tour of California, from classic Hollywood locations like the Griffith Observatory through to the Western movie sets in Pioneertown and views over Santa Monica. Zoe‘s seemingly effortless casual-yet-edgy style fits perfectly with the classic backdrop.
One of the things that makes this lookbook so beautiful to watch is George J. Rockett’s masterful camerawork (we refuse to believe he’s self-taught!). It has a lazy, dreamlike quality that captures the warm glow of old Hollywood movies we’ve all been craving since La La Land graced our screens in 2016.
Zoe’s even added delightful little touches like a copyright stamp at the bottom to heighten the classic movie feel.
The colour-grading is also wonderfully reminiscent of old movie reels, and we can almost feel the dry, dusty heat in the air through our screens. Add in Halsey’s haunting voice mixed with those lingering shots of open roads and we might just drop everything at TenEighty HQ and head out on a US road trip!
What can we say, Zoe? You’ve smashed it. You’re now our official summer style guru.
