Well, it’s time to brew up a big cup of covfefe to help get us through revision.
Hey, don’t give us that look. Don’t lie to us. We know you too have turned to memes as a way to deal with the very real exams hurtling toward you at a seemingly accelerating pace.
And yet, here we are, being the bad influence we are and giving you several more wonderful distractions – five, in fact – that are most likely a lot more attractive options than your coursework. And guess what? We’re not even sorry.
What Ifs Music Video | Melanie Baker
It’s nearly summer and we know you’re itching to sit out and enjoy the elusive British sun, so do yourself a favour by clicking on over to Melanie Baker‘s newest music video for What Ifs to get your perfect afternoon lounge-sesh started.
Her debut music video really is a beaut: everything from the colour grading to the aspect ratio helps to elicit nostalgia for a story and relationship we’ve never experienced. Such is the power of Melanie’s songwriting! It’s exciting to hear the raw beauty of her originals augmented by a supporting band whilst still retaining the depth and intimacy of the acoustic versions. It’s a dream come true for us lucky listeners!
The Style Diaries 10 – Joshua Tree | Zoe London
Zoe London takes her latest style diary to new heights (literally!) as she takes to the Joshua Tree desert to give us all some serious summer fashion inspo.
While her Style Diaries series has always been top-tier content, Zoe especially manages to make walking around in the Californian desert look like a nice springtime stroll along the Thames. How does one look like an ethereal past mirage while wandering around in the desert heat? Maybe we’ll have to wait for her next Q&A to solve that one.
FIDGET SPINNER MAGIC! | Steven Bridges
Even if you feel as though you never want to see a fidget spinner again in your entire life, trust us when we say you’ll want to check out Steven Bridges‘s newest set of illusions.
It’s a good thing we’re never actually there witnessing Steven’s routine in person, as we’d all be blubbering messes of excitement as he manages the duplicate the thing (!) and then make them both disappear entirely (!!!). Really, is there a normal human interaction to that other than sitting silently with your mouth agape? If there is, please tweet us ASAP.
As per usual, Steven’s routine is innovative, ~trendy~, and clean; it’s good magic.
Dealing with hate and mean comments | nikinsammy
Taking a break from the funny this week are Niki and Sammy Albon, who are discussing navigating negativity online and the various way you can become a better internet citizen.
Even if you’ve only browsed one comments section in your entire life, you’re probably all too familiar with the kind of hate that can spread online and just how hard it can be to not get caught up in all of it. Niki and Sammy make a point to separate constructive criticism from hate; while the first is intended to make you better, the second is more often meant to tear you down. Though, we’re not sure how anyone could throw any hate the pair’s way, considering the positivity they radiate! The YouTube community’s got your back, boys!
MEME WIZARD & CO | KickThePJ
A KickThePJ video without cardboard, puffs of coloured smoke, or a sharp nosedive into dark humour? You heard right! PJ Liguori has taken up his stylus once more to give us the second episode of Party Game, and we’re nothing short of thrilled to see its return.
If you’re new to the series, we’ll give you the lowdown: viewers send in pictures, PJ turns them into a dream team of Dungeons and Dragons party members, hilarity ensues. Personally, we wouldn’t think twice about starting up a campaign without the Meme Wizard riding bravely into battle alongside us atop her sausage doge.
PJ, we’re still waiting on the TenEighty team’s party member assignment… Patiently waiting…
And we’re definitely not sorry about offering you four more suggestions…

Need to lighten up your day by watching two grown men ride around Wembley Stadium in go-karts that are far too small to be practical? Oddly specific of you, but luckily Callum McGinley and Tobi Brown have got you covered with a Mario Kart irl track filled with slalom poles and water balloons.
Jack Howard opens up about his current headspace and resulting bad brain days that can sometimes take the joy from the things you love. Cheers to him for not only speaking so eloquently on the subject, but for turning that creative paralysis into a conversation.
