Non-binary vloggers Fox Fisher and Ugla Stefanía appeared on a recent episode of Good Morning Britain.
Fox and Ugla (a.k.a. Owl) run a YouTube channel together and create content about trans issues generally and their own personal stories of transitioning. Fox also co-runs an ongoing project called My Genderation, which focuses on trans rights and brings awareness to the trans community.
They appeared as guests on Good Morning Britain where Piers Morgan interviewed them about what the show called “the gender debate”.
Morgan seemingly mocked the couple by asking if he could identify as a black woman. Fox and Owl responded to this by stating that they both believe that Piers could choose to identify any way he felt was right. After this, Owl announced that “it doesn’t really change anything about my life how another person identifies”. They then added, “You can identify in any way you want and that’s up to you.”
During the interview, Fox promoted a book that they co-created with author Sarah Savage. The book, Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl, is a children’s story highlighting gender diversity. Created for children aged three and above, Owl joked that, “This book is for three-year-olds upwards – so it’ll be good for you, Piers.”
Fox and Owl have since created a video on their channel reacting to and commentating on their interview:
