Eight Times YouTubers Stole Our Hearts

As YouTubers have taken over the world, they’ve also managed to steal our hearts in the process.

From their collabs with fellow creators to their adorable love stories, our faves have continuously left us crying a river of tears and gushing to our friends over just how wonderful they are. We know, we know, that might sound a bit obsessive, but when you surround yourself with YouTube as much as we do, you get a bit attached (and highly emotional). And because our faves have a way of making us feel all warm and fuzzy, we felt it only right to dedicate an entire article to all the times they’ve taken our hearts and reduced us to a blubbering mess.

That time Jamie Jo bought Dodie a kitten

Kicking off our list is the one and only Dodie Clark, who arguably steals our hearts every day. However, the one time where we simply couldn’t handle the adorableness was when Jamie Jo bought Dodie her very own kitten.

We don’t think we’ve ever seen a more pure reaction to receiving a gift than when Jamie handed Dodie that kitten – she could barely comprehend what was happening! However, if we’re being honest, we’d probably react the same way, because cats are arguably the cutest animals on the planet, what with their squishy paws and big eyes. And no, of course this isn’t a subtle hint that someone should get us an office cat…

Bottom line: Dodie is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs.

The Janya wedding

If you read our previous article about Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr, then you’ll already know that we here at TenEighty HQ have a slight obsession with these two. But honestly, can you blame us? They are seriously one of the cutest couples on the internet, and we think what truly signifies their love is their gorgeous wedding, which was the ultimate #WeddingGoals.

From the Instagram photos to the numerous vlogs from guests (which included Marcus Butler, Joe Sugg, and US vlogger Hannah Hart, to name a few), we can only gather that the wedding was a dream, and we were over the moon to hear that the long-engaged couple had finally tied the knot! Now, if only someone had saved us a slice of wedding cake…

When Emma shaved her head live on stage for charity

Coming in next on our list is the time Emma Blackery shaved her head for charity in front of the massive audience at Summer in the City.

Yep, back in 2014, Emma decided that, if she and her viewers managed to raise £10,000, she would shave off all her hair live at SitC, something that’s no easy feat for someone who considers their hair a part of their identity. It’s this fact that makes this gesture one that genuinely touched us, as Emma decided that helping a large amount of people was more important to her than her hair, something we highly commend her for – go Emma!

To further make this moment even better was the support all her YouTube friends showed for her during the event. We mean, just look at the size of that group!

When Charlie wrote a song for Gideon

It’s no secret that Charlie McDonnell and Emily Diana Ruth‘s cat Gideon is quite the popular animal amongst the YouTube community, with fans ranging from Daniel J. Layton to Dodie Clark, but we have to say, we’ve never seen someone love him more than Charlie. Don’t believe us? Then please, tell us how many people you know who have written a a song for their cat, from said cat’s point of view.

What makes this so adorable isn’t just the song, but the various clips Charlie has compiled of Gideon doing cute cat things, from playing with string to sleeping around the flat. By the end of the video, we were all on the floor because we simply couldn’t handle the cuteness… Seriously, why hasn’t someone gotten us an office cat yet?!

Zalfie’s four-year anniversary

Don’t lie, we all know that you love Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes‘s relationship, even if you won’t publicly admit it. We mean, how can you not, what with Nala, their adorable collabs, and the impromptu public announcement of their relationship due to a certain friend’s vlog. *cough* Jim Chapman *cough*

Whilst we may have many fave moments from their relationship, the one moment that made us audibly “aww” would have to be the pair’s four-year anniversary. Did you see all those roses Alfie bought Zoe, and the large amount of sweets? If that isn’t true love, then we don’t know what is!

Bry and Candice’s Paris proposal

Is there anything more romantic than a wedding proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower? We don’t think so, which is why we simply had to include Bry and Candice O’Reilly‘s Paris proposal!

We’re so thankful Bry decided to vlog the pair’s trip, because we don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t been able to see how excited and nervous he was before the proposal, and Candice’s adorable reaction when he knelt down on one knee. We were tearing up right alongside her. Honestly, these two are so cute we could squeal!

Actually, you know what? We will… Squeaaaaaaaaaaaal!

When Adrian took Greg to Disneyland

We know we’ve compiled a full list of the most adorable things YouTubers have ever done, but we think we can all agree that the cutest thing a creator has done is when Adrian Bliss took his friend Greg McCahon to Disneyland at the end of Vlune. After realising how much he’d taken Greg for granted in his search for YouTube fame, we see Adrian running around the entire park look for his friend, only for them to reunite on the Teacups.

It was so heartwarming to see how happy the pair were to be back together and the whole video shows that, no matter what, a strong friendship can survive anything, even a crazy dream to become YouTube famous.

Tom and Jamie Jo’s Disney proposal

Closing out our list is another Disney-themed video. However, this time it’s a proposal of magical proportions. For Valentine’s Day 2015, Tom Burns decided it was time to ask Jamie Jo to marry him, and what better place to propose than the most magical place on Earth?

We couldn’t get over how Tom popped the question to Jamie – it was so cute and nerdy that it screamed “Tom” all over! Watch the video to see him get down on one knee at the Be Our Guest Restaurant and present her with a Pokéball filled with rose petals! If it doesn’t make you break into tears, we don’t know what will.
