Another Playlist Live has come and gone and, as usual, we were left feeling some major FOMO.
And you know what? We’ve been feeling so much FOMO lately that we should probably go and see a doctor about it… But that’s besides the point. This past weekend, loads of our faves hopped on a plane to sunny Orlando, where they relaxed by the pool, attended numerous parties, and got to meet tons of their US viewers!
It’s safe to say we were pretty jealous, what with us being stuck in cold, dreary London. However, we’re not the type of let jealousy take hold of us, which is why we decided to round up the weekend’s excitement in true TenEighty fashion: with a sassy and hilarious listicle. What? We never said we were modest.

Leave it to Luke Cutforth and Evan Edinger to bring the lame to all the Playlist Live excitement. Everyone knows that bringing your parents to parties is so primary school. However, we do have to give them props for their superb moustaches. How do you do it, guys? We can barely grow stubble!
Latte selfies are now a thing

It’s truly amazing how far latte technology has come over the years. Gone are the days of simple leaves and hearts. The future of latte art is selfies and, as Mary Akemon has shown us, that future is now!
Fun in the sun

If there’s one thing we’re most jealous of, it’s that our faves got to spend the weekend in the warm, sunny Florida weather. Luke, Tom Burns, and Jamie Jo, you guys better have been wearing sunscreen!
New music, new music, new music!
Thank you all so much for the love on the new songs tonight at @PlaylistLive!
Honestly it means the world – can't wait to release them 😍✨
— Bethan Leadley (@musicalbethan) May 6, 2017
It’s no secret that we here at TenEighty HQ are pretty much Bethan Leadley‘s biggest fans, so you bet we were literally screaming when we heard she’d performed new material during her Playlist Live show!
Bethan, when are you going to officially release these new songs? We need them ASAP!
So many panels, so little time
we're off to our (perhaps the most important one today?) panel in the Grand Ballroom 7 @PlaylistLive
come say hello 👀 pic.twitter.com/lkdFRZR8ap
— 🍑 (@SammyAlbon) May 6, 2017
One of the best things about YouTube events are the many panels, where we not only learn about the inner workings of YouTube, but also get to hear about how our faves have navigated the site’s waters. We bet Niki and Sammy Albon had a whole lot of wisdom to bestow.
Friendship goals
Such a lovely, memorable lil moment on stage during @doddleoddle's last song at @PlaylistLive 💚 my heart! pic.twitter.com/F3reCqZoNN
— Melanie 💚 Murphy (@melaniietweets) May 6, 2017
Without a doubt, one of the highlights from the weekend had to be Dodie Clark‘s performance. Our favourite moment? When the likes of Melanie Murphy, Jessica Brennan, Doug Armstrong, Louis Cole and more surprised her by joining her onstage for the last song. Can someone say friendship goals?
Murder happened
Dear @PlaylistLive, @SeanKlitzner is a terrible and rude host and I have killed him 😡🔪☠️ pic.twitter.com/kZmOjpY7Ah
— TomSka (@thetomska) May 6, 2017
We know Tom Ridgewell has collab’d with quite a few people during his YouTube career, but we didn’t realise that one had turned so sour that it would result in murder! R.I.P. Sean Klitzner, you will be missed.
Cheesin’ with YouTube royalty
This was like the 12th attempt at a photo. 🤣🤣 #playlistlive pic.twitter.com/0Gas97RaQa
— Michael Buckley (@buckhollywood) May 7, 2017
We don’t know how Melanie and Dean Dobbs managed to keep their composure when meeting Michael Buckley! We would have been fangirling so hard.
They only closed down Universal Studios!
This weekend has been fun as butts 🍑 thanks @PlaylistLive for having me! Here I am at Harold Potter world 🔥 it's LeviOsa, not LeviosA ✨⚡️ pic.twitter.com/mfaZ5T3QlX
— Chai Cameron (@MyNamesChai) May 8, 2017
The top item on our bucket list is to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, so we are beyond jealous of the fact that Playlist Live organisers closed down the whole park for our faves.
Chai Cameron, please tell us you had some butterbeer!
What a truly magical weekend it was.
Loads of laughs were had, many wonderful memories were made, and sunburn was unfortunately abundant. We can’t wait to see what shenanigans our faves get up to next year. Who knows? Maybe one of them will let us tag along.
