Who doesn’t love a good filter?
FaceApp is the latest filter obsession to take over the internet, but unlike Snapchat, it’s not all dog ears, bee faces, and those flower crowns that somehow also make our skin look better. Instead, FaceApp shows us what we’d look like as certain emojis, as a different gender, and as if we’ve aged 50 years.
It’s safe to say we’re suckers for face-changing apps – they’re just so fun – and fortunately for us, so do our faves! Here are the best examples of our favourite creators playing around with FaceApp. Prepare to LOL, literally.
Steven-ette?
Today I learned I do not want to be old and I do not suit being female 😂 https://t.co/FGUqsN6hf1 pic.twitter.com/oH4uYhQ4Nu
— Steven Bridges (@StevenBridges) April 23, 2017
Just like magic, it’s Steven Bridges as you’ve never seen him before! Steven’s female incarnation has some really compelling eyes, but we’ve go to disagree with his observations and point out that his hair at that length is really rather fabulous! We wish we could achieve locks as luscious as his!
Adorable Joel
@StevenBridges I don't trust this app one bit. Look at how it made me smile! pic.twitter.com/iKq9X4Fkhn
— Joel Blundell (@joel_blundell) April 23, 2017
In response to Steven’s photoset, Joel Blundell posted this adorable series of photos, where FaceApp forced him to smile. Adorable as that fake smile is (and it is adorable), we have to say that we much prefer the real thing.
We’re not the only only ones struggling to tell the difference between the other three photos, right?
We still fancy you!
gonna send this to my bf & see if he'll still fancy me (I would) pic.twitter.com/tWnHBZJrvi
— Hannah Witton (@hannahwitton) April 27, 2017
Hannah Witton, if your boyfriend doesn’t still fancy you after seeing this picture, what are the odds of us getting a chance to take you out on a date? We promise the whole shebang: dinner, a movie, and a chat about Doing It, out now at all major UK bookshops.
Hello, grandmas
Well hello there, grandmas. pic.twitter.com/Fi9MIpu50K
— Rusty Clanton (@rustyclanton) April 23, 2017
Well, hello there, Rusty Clanton.
We didn’t realise how much Rusty had aged since the last time we’d saw him! We swear it was only yesterday that he was a young fellow in his twenties. Now, he’s a thriving senior, and we have to say, the years have been very good to him!
We only hope we look as good as him in our later years.
Swoon! at the Disco
Yeah, I could have used FaceApp on myself, but I did this instead and feel better for it. pic.twitter.com/UoqYDi5yQn
— Chloe Dungate (@ScarfDemon) April 26, 2017
Thank you, Chloe Dungate, for proving that Panic! At The Disco’s Brendan Urie is pretty much the most perfect person on the planet. He always looks good, no matter what filter’s placed on his face.
The sugar daddy
me & my sugar daddy. can't wait for the insurance money 💋 pic.twitter.com/PjqyLDMvVb

Blimey, our Bertie Gilbert‘s grown up fast! Could the long-awaited sequel to The 56 Year Old Boy, preliminarily titled The 19 Year Old Elder, be in the works? If so, it looks like the plot will revolve around the 19-year-old Bertie, trapped in the body of an elderly man, as he embarks on a quest for love with young poet Savannah Brown.
We can’t wait to see the full film!
Good genes!
This is terrifying pic.twitter.com/f5Lp5StK92
— Roly West (@RolyUnGashaa) April 22, 2017
We’ve always known (in a non-creepy way) that Roly West has great skin, and FaceApp further proves so! Just look at the photo of him as a baby. If you hadn’t told us it had been altered, we would have never known!
Roly, please tell us your secret!
Is that Paul McCartney?
— Dean Dobbs ✨ (@DeanDobbs) April 22, 2017
Is it just us or does an elderly Dean Dobbs bare a rather surprising (and uncanny) resemblance to a very tired Paul McCartney?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Why am I more attractive as a female tho… #FaceApp pic.twitter.com/fg8Nthy0jc
— Jacob Dudman (@jacobdudman_) April 23, 2017
We have to agree with Jake Dudman here: he does make a very attractive female. But we have to say, we still think he looks pretty good as a male. Don’t sell yourself short, Jake. We think you’re perfect just the way you are!

What a time to be alive!
