Uh oh, it’s that time of year again…

April Fool’s Day, the one day of the year where absolutely no-one can be trusted. Your best friend? She’s probably switched your favourite eyeliner with a Sharpie. Your brother? He’s definitely placed a whoopee cushion on that chair you’re about to sit in. That squirrel chilling on the windowsill? Well, he probably won’t be pranking you, but you can never be sure! So best keep your distance from him as well.

Yes, it’s a day that’s been solely dedicated to all things prank-related, and we thought there was no better way to get into the pranking spirit than to share with you all five more of our favourite prank videos (it’s been three years, after all). From prank phone calls to marriage on the first date, this list has everything you need to gather inspiration for your own mischief!

Prank Calls with Dan Howell! | Sprinkleofglitter

If you’re looking to partake in a classic prank this April Fool’s Day, might we recommend the prank phone call? All you’ll need is a phone, a clever lie, an unsuspecting victim, and a friend to share in the hilarity with! Oh, it’s also best to hide your caller ID, unless you want your prank to fail miserably.

Need to know how to pull off the perfect prank phone call? Well, look no further than this video from Louise Pentland and Dan Howell. Pranking the unsuspecting Hazel Hayes, Benjamin Cook, and Matt Watson, the pair savagely held no prisoners and fooled their victims time and time again. They made it look so effortless, spewing their lies with ease and keeping their giggles to a minimum (Dan does look like he’s going to burst into laughter at any minute, but manages to push through). If only we could make it through one phone call without giving ourselves away.

Prank phone calls are easily some of the best pranks around, and we dare anyone to challenge us for making that statement. Step aside, electric hand buzzer and fake dog poop!

RUDE YOUTUBER PRANK ft. Superwoman | Caspar

What do you do when meeting someone for only the second time? If you’re like Caspar Lee, you trick them into thinking you’re a massive jerk, of course!

Continuing his trend of good-natured pranking, Caspar decided to prank pal and Canadian vlogger Lilly Singh by making himself appear to be a diva whose fame had gone to his head, even going so far as to hire a fake publicist and bodyguard! Poor Lilly didn’t see it coming and while certainly confused (and we’re sure taken aback), she handled the situation like a champ. We don’t know how she survived the awkward!

While we all agree this is stellar prank, we’d like to caution our readers. Not everyone will be as understanding as Lilly, so best to sit your fake bodyguard between you and the person your pranking, lest they get a little bit angry with you – no-one likes a diva, after all!

THE ARACHNOPHOBIA PRANK | Oli White

Before we continue on with this week’s Five of the Best, we’d like to say one thing: nope, nope, nopity nope.

Confused? That was our reaction to the spider prank Oli White played on friends Caspar Lee, Conor and Jack Maynard, Josh Pieters, and Mikey Pearce. A cruel prank that still managed to make us laugh through our terrified tears, Oli utilised VR technology and sensory tricks to play a joke that would have had us running out of the room fasting than the Roadrunner when he’s being chased by Wile E. Coyote!

It’s amazing how real VR headsets can make things seem, and we definitely think we’ll be seeing more pranks utilising it in the future. Just please, no more spiders…

FIRST DATE WEDDING PRANK | Laurbubble

When planning dates through Tinder, it’s always expected that you show up to said date dressed in a wedding dress, right?

…well, maybe not exactly, unless it’s a charity video for Stand Up To Cancer. For the charity’s 2016 campaign fundraiser, Laura Bubble decided to film a prank video that would leave most guys running for the door. Imagine, showing up to a restaurant to find your date looking like she’s ready to walk down the aisle! It’s no wonder the guys in this video were taken aback. Thankfully, they were all good sports and once it was revealed to be a prank, they laughed it off and everyone ended up having a good time!

Sometimes the most innocent of pranks can be the best.

ME AND MY MUM PRANK MY DAD | Scola Dondo

Closing out our list is yet another prank phone call, this time from our fave workout guru, Scola Dondo.

Teaming up with her mother, who happens to be a bigger fan of YouTube than we are, the pair hatched a plan to prank Scola’s dad and tell him she’s pregnant. It’s not necessarily something parents like to hear from their children, especially over the phone, so we were holding our breath waiting to hear what his response would be. Thankfully, Scola’s parents are pretty chill, and her dad took it very well – especially after hearing that his wife was in on the whole thing!

Definitely parent goals.
