Could seeing your favourite musician perform live get any better?
Only if that musician happened to be the one and only Dodie Clark! Dodie recently wrapped up a UK headlining tour in support for her EP Intertwined, and it was just as lovely and magical as we expected. Being Dodie’s number one fans – a title we would fight to defend (but not really because we have the physical strength of a snail) – we were in awe as each night Dodie hit the stage and performed the songs we know and love, which is why we simply had to dedicate an entire article to the tour!
So here they are: TenEighty’s seven favourite moments from the Intertwined tour!
1. Her Adventure Time dance moves
@rustyclanton wtf why do I dance like an adventure time character
— dodie (@doddleoddle) March 19, 2017
We all have dance moves that we try to emulate, from John Travolta’s Greased Lightnin’ swag to those iconic numbers from Singin’ in the Rain, but there’s something to be said about taking inspiration from the characters of Adventure Time that brings dancing to a whole new level. Jake and Finn are some of the hippest cartoon characters around, so of course Dodie would steal a move or two!
Now, if only we had some half-decent dance moves ourselves…
2. When on tour, get a tattoo
(to give us new colours to see) pic.twitter.com/jJSMYW69xW
— dodie (@doddleoddle) March 16, 2017
All musicians know that getting a tattoo on tour is a rite of passage (practically an unwritten rule!), so of course Dodie had to get one, what with her being a professional musician and all. And what tattoo did she get? Well, would it come as any surprise to you that it was a quote from La La Land? It’s not like she talks about it all the time or anything…
3. Is Titanic-ing the new dabbing?
Leave it to Hazel Hayes, Daniel J. Layton, and Jack Howard to bring the funny by reenacting that scene from Titanic while Dodie played the movie’s theme throughout the venue. What a bunch of jokesters.
4. Claire?!

Who’s Claire?! Well, we’re not quite sure to be honest with you, but we know she most definitely isn’t Dodie’s live cellist, Sophie English.
5. Meme Queen
@doddleoddle LIVING meme queen. Thankyou so much #intertwinedtour 🌻 pic.twitter.com/VtM1cJJL5F

thanks @doddleoddle @rustyclanton @violxtstorms @DanIsNotATyre and @emillie_taylor for making the #intertwinedtour so enjoyable tonight pic.twitter.com/ckgEsT38SP

Dodie proved once and for all that she is the true Meme Queen, as shown by the tweets above. Can someone please get her a crown, so she can officially take the title?
6. The Snapchat geofilter
DODIE HAS A GEOFILTER WHAU
— georgia (@lbbhroses) March 18, 2017
A Snapchat geofilter was created specifically for Dodie’s show at O2 Islington, and we’re not going to lie, it was pretty cool. Why aren’t we popular enough for someone to create one for us?
7. The fan reaction
Our overall favourite part of the Intertwined tour was seeing the audience reaction night after night. From passing out signs that read “where you would be without you?” and giving out cookies in the queue, to wearing Dodie yellow, it was truly heartwarming to see how tight-knit and caring a community Dodie has created over the years. It’s without a doubt one of the most loving fandoms around, and we bet you’d be hard-pressed to find another one like it.
Is there any way we can go back in time and experience the tour all over again?
We want to relive the singalongs, the jokes, the bants, and the overall feeling of being with people who love Dodie just as much as we do. It’s all we want! Dodie, please go back out on tour soon. We don’t know how long we can last without another show!
