Wasn’t that romantic? Our eyes were welling up just typing out those words…

Okay, okay, we know it’s super cheesy, but honestly, did you really expect anything less from us? We pretty much trademarked the term with our love of ~~cringeworthy~~ hilarious Phan puns and over-the-top writing style. And hey, it’s Valentine’s Day, which is the one day of the year where we’re actually allowed to be cheesy, all in the name of love. *cue that super catchy Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha track*

Love – it’s all we’ve been hearing about for weeks now, and tonight’s the night where it blossoms into something beautiful… unless you’re like us, stuck at home and drowning your sorrows in chocolate and copious amounts of ice cream. However, fear not! If that’s the case, then we have a fabulous selection of videos to cheer you up!

Heading out with that special someone for a night on the town, but struggling to find that special outfit that’ll leave them speechless? Well, it’s a good thing you have Laura Bubble to help you pick out the perfect threads!

A comfy jumper? Check. Pyjama bottoms? Double check. Fuzzy pink socks? Triple check. Seriously, it’s such a classic Valentine’s Day outfit, so much so that all eyes will be on you (and no, it totally won’t be because you have splotches of spot cream on your face). Who knew Laura was such a style icon!

Teaming up with the BBC, Tom Ridgewell and Chris Kendall are letting us in on how spies do the romance thing – and it’s not as surprising as we thought it would be. With its film noir setting, we were teeming with anticipation as Chris slid the briefcase to Tom, desperate to know the answer to the question: will you go out with me? Our hearts leapt for joy when we saw Chris’s response, and our mouths curled into that weird and uncomfortable smile that came across Tom’s face.

Finally, was it just us or did that moment at the end where Chris blows a kiss toward Tom make you swoon? These two are just so romantic!

Terrible Robot – Blind Date | Eddache

We’re all aware of the caution needed when online dating, but we never guessed in a million years that there’d be even a slight possibility of getting matched up with an octopus!

Eddie Bowley‘s latest sketch sees Robot set up his friend on what was sure to be a swimmingly awesome blind date… Unfortunately, not everyone saw it that way. To be fair, we can see where his friend was coming from. While we could look past the fact she destroyed a ship and attacked pirates in a swirling vortex of doom, we simply can’t get over the fact that she’s a Virgo. How on earth could Robot have let his friend go out with a Virgo?!

Valentine’s Day- Pusheen Mailbox | BananaJamana

Remember the good ol’ days of primary school, when your parents would purchase those box sets of Valentine’s Day cards (our faves were always the Harry Potter ones) and you’d spend a class period walking around, placing your cards in those mailboxes you made in art class? Well, Jamie Jo is looking for those days to make a comeback, and so are we!

Throughout this tutorial, Jamie walks us through the steps to make what is easily the coolest looking Valentine’s Day mailbox we’ve ever seen – much better than our dinky little tissue box ones. The best part? It’s super easy to make! We all made one and put them on our desks. Hopefully our one true love will stop by and drop us a letter!

The Darkest Valentine | The School of Life

Prepare for things to get dark… real dark.

Alain de Botton’s The School of Life has created a video for those who are, as he describes it, slightly apprehensive about Valentine’s Day, and it’s one that will leave you staring at your computer screen for at least 20 minutes after while your mind spirals into a vortex of deep thoughts and emotion. It’s uncomfortable to watch, but that’s the point. The School of Life is all about making us think about our perceptions of the world and those around us.

It’s a haunting piece of work; beautiful, yet at the same time carrying a message that’ll leave you feeling less than lovely this Valentine’s Day.
