Niki and Sammy Do the BRIT Nominations Red Carpet

Niki and Sammy Albon rocked the red carpet at this year’s BRIT Awards nominations show.

It seems as if Niki and Sammy are everywhere these days! Not only did they host at the BBC Music Awards back in December, but they also got involved in Stand Up To Cancer UK’s charity live stream and had a killer time at Summer in the City 2016. See, we told you – they are literally everywhere.

Keeping up with the trend, the pair hit the red carpet of the BRIT Awards’ nominations show on 14 January and hassled the night’s celebrity guests, just like the troublemakers they are. So, of course, we had to round-up everything that went down, from the dabbing and dancing to the questionable selfies. Enjoy!

Niki and Sammy arrived on the red carpet wearing some pretty snazzy shirts, which we totally approve of! Those dance moves on the other hand…

Dabbing with Michael Kiwanuka?!

Thanks to you lot voting away on Twitter (and yes, that includes us), this beaut of a gif of the boys dabbing with Michael Kiwanuka now exists on the internet forever (and ever and ever).

Michael’s up for Best Solo Artist. If his music’s anywhere near as good as his dabbing (which we totally think it is), then he’s definitely got a shot!

 Emoji chat with Alan Walker

It’s moments like these when we at TenEighty realise that mainstream music celebrities are actually real-life human beings with deep philosophical questions about important, topical issues. You know, like which emoji is the greatest of all time.

Alan Walker’s been nominated in the British Single category alongside the likes of Zayn, Little Mix, and Coldplay. Respect, dude!

Lookin’ cool with Rag’n’Bone Man

Rag’n’Bone Man was the next music star to fall into the clutches of Niki and Sammy, and he happily joined in with their red carpet antics.

Nominated for the British Breakthrough category, he seems to have masted the looking-serious-yet-cool-with-arms-folded post. The twins on the other hand… Umm, how do we put this nicely? They couldn’t quite pull it off.

A for effort, guys!

Emoji dancing with NAO

Thanks to another Twitter poll (which was pretty much just us sitting on Twitter all night voting between our various accounts), Niki and Nao attempted to recreate the dancing girls emoji – emphasis on “attempted”.

We’ve realised Anne Marie is cooler than us

Never mind the fact she’s up for the British Breakthrough award, we think those sunglasses are a top accessory that definitely deserve a prize of their own! Anne Marie, you rock those tiny little glasses and storm past Blossoms, Rag’N’Bone Man, Skepta, and Stormzy to victory!

It’s always a heartwarming moment when YouTubers meet their biggest fans. We hope Emma Willis wasn’t too fangirl-y for you guys!

Ahh, yet another musician who has an absolutely killer smoulder (and eyes that totally make us swoon). We’re not going to lie, Niki and Sammy’s attempts had our knees wobbling too.

Calum Scott gets in on the dabbing action

These photos beg for two very important questions to be asked:

  1. Will Calum Scott clinch the coveted British Single award next month?
  2. Will the dab live on throughout 2017?

Only time will tell, folks! Oh, and do try to keep your eyes open, Niki. You’re only on the red carpet for one of the biggest music awards shows in the UK!

Well, that was certainly an eventful evening.

A big thanks to Niki and Sammy for keeping us company throughout the night and for giving us a unique introduction to some of the year’s hottest BRIT Awards nominees. But the fun isn’t over yet, oh no. On 22 February, the one and only Caspar Lee will be hosting this year’s BRIT Awards YouTube live stream, and it’s guaranteed to be a whole load of fun!
