Can you believe Christmas is already over?
It felt like it took ages to get here and now, in the blink of an eye, it’s over for another year. Say it ain’t so! We guess it’s time to pack up the Christmas tree, take down the cute fairy lights we’ve strung all over the office, and start our countdown to Christmas 2017. What? It’s only 364 days away – barely any time at all!
If you’re currently feeling the post-Christmas blues (and don’t want to risk the Boxing Day shopping crowds), then why not take a look at the videos making up this week’s Round-Up? After watching them, you’ll be feeling good as new, we promise. It’ll be as if the most festive day of the year hadn’t just finished…
Oh, sorry to bring that up again.
The Perfect Gift – Jack & Dean
You know it’s going to be a good Round-Up when we include a comedy sketch, and who better to kick things off than Jack Howard and Dean Dobbs with their new video, The Perfect Gift?
A paid advertisement for EE (although you wouldn’t be able to tell – the plugs are so subtle), the duo’s latest sketch is pretty much the video embodiment of anyone who can’t get enough of the holiday season, us included. We, like Dean, start celebrating Christmas months in advance because, let’s be honest, it’s never too early to start prepping for what is arguably the best day of the year.
And don’t even think about trying to lie to us. We know we’re not the only ones who do it.
My Brothers Snowman Makeover – Zoella
Question: What’s better than a Zoe Sugg Vlogmas special?
Answer: A Zoe Sugg Vlogmas special featuring Joe Sugg, of course!
For the final day of her 24 Days of Zoella, Zoe decided to treat viewers to the hilarity that is turning Joe into a snowman. Her artistic skills and the pair’s sibling banter are both entertaining and laugh-inducing, and we honestly couldn’t think of a better way for Zoe to conclude her Christmas run.
Humanity, I Love You – Dan Stokes
Is it just us or did Dan Stokes‘ reading of Humanity, I Love You leave you with goosebumps?
We don’t know what we like more about this video: the scenery, the way Dan orates or the fact that Humanity, I Love You is one of our favourite E.E. Cummings poems? Trick question – we love all those things and more!
We promise, one watch and you’ll have this video on repeat for days. And yes, we might be saying that from experience…
Dear Autumn… | Vlogmas Day Twenty – ItsWayPastMyBedtime
If there’s anyone who has perfected Vlogmas, it’s miss Carrie Hope Fletcher, and she continues to prove her expertise with Dear Autumn…
A spoken word piece paired with footage from a holiday her and Pete Bucknall took earlier in the year, Dear Autumn… is a beautiful, yet simple masterpiece that left us with the biggest of smiles on our faces. Seriously, we dare you to try and get through this video without becoming entranced by Carrie’s voice.
See, we said you wouldn’t be able to do it.
The 12 Days Of Snapemas – LukeIsNotSexy
Closing out the Round-Up is a rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas from Severus Snape… Uh, we mean Luke Cutforth. What are you saying? Of course he didn’t have us fooled… *shifty eyes*
If you’re a fan of classic Christmas tunes, pink toy guitars, three-headed dogs that suspiciously look like black cats, or watching Luke being chased around the park by Howlers, then we highly suggest you give this video a watch. It’ll leave you on the floor with laughter while you simultaneously contemplate what you just watched.
Of course we couldn’t just stop at five videos…
This year got you down? Edd Bowley‘s latest video sheds some light on who is to blame for the terrible year that was 2016.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without some festive poetry. One of our faves? Christmas Wishes by Angela Innes, of course!
It appears our prayers have finally been answered! Bertie Gilbert has returned to vlogging and we honestly couldn’t be happier. Please, don’t let this be a one-off thing!
And finally, the lovely Jamie Jo is back to teach us how to make the coolest of Christmas art projects. It’s like watching the Blue Peter arts and crafts sections – except with less “here’s one I made earlier” and way more mad skillz.
