The collaboration project Hello Christmas has united 25 creators from across the globe for a charity single, Christmas Without You.
The full lineup for the track includes UK- and Ireland-based YouTubers Jake Mitchell, Saffron Barker, Marina Joyce, Riyadh Khalaf, Melanie Murphy, Hannah Trigwell, Toby Randall, Joe Tasker, Sapphire, Taylor Jones, VladTeeVee, and Yasmin (yammy xox). It also features creators from the US, the Netherlands, and Australia.
The single’s aim is to reach Christmas Number One, and a substantial amount of the proceeds will be gifted to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The organisation, established in the UK in 1986, grants “magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.”
The creators were flown to The Rocketeers Music Studios in Hilversum, Amsterdam for the single where, over the course of two days, the team recorded both individual and group tracks. The music video for the single was shot on the third day.
The music video, released on Sing King Karaoke, is described as “fun and entertaining, portraying a warm, festive feeling throughout – with a dash of humour”.
Christmas Without You was written by Grammy Award-winning songwriters the Jackie Boyz, who have previously collaborated with artists such as Madonna, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars. On the production side are The Producers House, who have worked on TV programmes such as The Voice, Holland’s Got Talent, and Eurovision. The single was curated by talent agency Hello Management.
The single is available to purchase or to listen online, and fans can Shazam the song to access additional exclusive content.
