On winning the top award of the evening, British Creator of the Year, Phil Lester said: “2016 has been an incredible year for me, and to think that this started with a webcam is pretty mind-blowing! I want to share this award with Dan as we’ve achieved everything this year together and say thank you to our amazing community of followers who give us so much support.”
Mike Cook, Head of Talent from FlipSide, said: “There’s such a huge amount of talent, innovation and hard work happening in the digital space, and so many millions of fans engaged worldwide, the online industry was crying out for a British awards ceremony to recognise it. We’re incredibly proud to have brought fans and industry together to celebrate the achievements of these young creatives tonight. Congratulations to all of this year’s BONCAs nominees and winners!”
