You hear that? That’s the sound of thousands of Harry Potter fans screaming because Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits cinemas in just a few days!
It’s been five long years since a Harry Potter film has graced the big screen, and J.K. Rowling has chosen to bring back the magic with her latest story within the Wizarding World – the story of Newt Scamander himself!
Now, in case you were unaware, we here at TenEighty HQ are massive Potterheads, having read the books and watched the films numerous times (and we mean numerous). You know who else are huge fans of the series? YouTubers! So of course they all had to be in attendance for the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts, where they rocked the blue carpet while getting to breathe in the same air as J.K. Rowling herself.
We don’t think we’ve ever been so jealous.
So. Much. Excitement.
Dear Ten Year Old Chloe,
That book you're reading. That world you love. You're at the premiere for the latest movie. #FantasticBeasts pic.twitter.com/MKl75qJI8q— Chloe Dungate (@ScarfDemon) November 15, 2016
Sitting down to watch #FantasticBeasts. SO RIDDIKULUS-ly EXCITED!
— Jim Chapman (@JimChapman) November 15, 2016
Harry Potter was a huge part of our childhoods and we loved following the adventures of the boy wizard as he worked to defeat the evil Lord Voldemort. So it’s no surprise to us that Jim Chapman, Chloe Dungate and everyone else were overwhelmed with excitement. We know we would be!

When at a premiere, you have to take advantage of the lighting. Bertie Gilbert and Savannah Brown know what we’re talking about.
Premieres are a family affair
I look like someone's mum. my sister looks like my daughter. #FantasticBeasts premiere let's do this ✨ pic.twitter.com/XYEfAbPZ9a

I've got the prettiest date in town. #FantasticBeasts pic.twitter.com/qE7wfBoVnC
— Caspar Lee (@Caspar_Lee) November 15, 2016
It’s only right to share the magic of the Wizarding World with those we hold near and dear to our hearts, and for Lex Croucher and Caspar Lee, that meant bringing along the family. If that doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will.
#SquadGoals
My @freefocusmgmt squad on the blue carpet for #FantasticBeasts thank you so much for the invite @WarnerBrosUK ✨⭐️ pic.twitter.com/hkX2kt83f6
— Connie 🍑 (@noodlerella) November 15, 2016
Is it even a TenEighty article if we don’t highlight our favourite squads? Tuesday night’s #SquadGoals definitely went to Connie Glynn, Luke Cutforth, Pete Bucknall, Jamie Jo, and Tom Burns, who all looked quite dashing. We wish we could clean up that well!
Is it cool if we ask for some fashion advice?
I want Ezra Miller's jacket #FantasticBeasts
— ˗ˏˋ Niki Albon ˊˎ˗ (@NikiAlbon) November 15, 2016
We’re sure Niki Albon wasn’t the only one getting some fashion inspiration while walking the blue carpet.
IT’S J.K. ROWLING. WE REPEAT, IT’S J.K. ROWLING.
Ready for the magic (I walked past @jk_rowling I'm NOT okay) #FantasticBeasts pic.twitter.com/SsTo1UNJLq

Squeak!! Squeeeeeeeell!!! I was stood a few feet from @jk_rowling & Eddie Redmayne! I can't. I can't. Deep breaths.#FantasticBeasts pic.twitter.com/A6G3aec1BB

Me moments before I saw @jk_rowling IRL and cried 😭😱🙈💖 About to watch #FantasticBeasts…I'm not okay pic.twitter.com/1jxz39gr5f
— Melanie Murphy (@melaniietweets) November 15, 2016
We would have been severely worried if Scola Dondo, Hannah Witton, and Melanie Murphy hadn’t completely fangirled upon seeing J.K. Rowling. We mean, she’s J.K. Rowling! How could you not freak out?!
Uh oh…
I opened it, some creatures got out, I'm sure it will all be fine… #FantasticBeasts pic.twitter.com/JyGhq0JZFh
— Luke Franks (@luke_franks) November 15, 2016
Leave it to Luke Franks to stir up some trouble… Hopefully, London isn’t currently overrun by magical creatures. Best have your wands at the ready though, just to be on the safe side.
We suggest asking Luke
searching for creatures at the #fantasticbeasts premiere. WHERE ARE THEY?! pic.twitter.com/US6BnQFyoA
— kickthePJ (@kickthepj) November 15, 2016
Hey, Sophie and PJ, we suggest you ask Luke. We have a feeling he might know where those pesky creatures have gone off to.
Final thoughts

#FantasticBeasts was great! So many emotions and so happy to be visiting the Wizarding World once again ✨ Newt is easily a new favourite
— Tom Burns (@TomRPI) November 15, 2016
Magic was truly in the air!
From the sounds of it, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a total success, and many of our faves are now huge fans of Newt Scamander (as if they wouldn’t be). The question is though: do they like Newt more than Harry? We need to know!
