YouTubers Do Halloween 2016

Did everyone have a spooky – or should we say spoopy – Halloween?

From what we saw, the night was filled with creepy costumes, trick-or-treating goodness, and infinite amounts of fake blood – everything you’d want from All Hallows’ Eve.

Our YouTube faves weren’t going to be left out of the spooky fun, and were out in full force last night, being the ultimate #CostumeGoals (is that a thing? We should totally make it a thing). Of course, we had to round up our favourite looks from the night and share it with you lot. It wouldn’t be in the TenEighty spirit if we didn’t!

Have a safe Halloween

Kicking off the Halloween celebrations was Hannah Witton, who hosted “a Halloween party safe from the real monsters who will judge/touch you for dressing sexy”.

Hannah, have we told you how much we adore you? We shouldn’t have to worry about being judged for wanting to dress the way we want, and we love that you’re standing up for that!

Love is murder

Who would have thought that Fawn Mead would be capable of murder?! We sure didn’t!

Rest in peace, Liam. You will be missed.

Hospital for broken dolls

It looks like all the Halloween spook-tacular festivities were too much for Hazel Hayes, who ended up in the hospital wing. Hopefully it wasn’t haunted!

Pirates and pumpkins

We’ve got to hand it to Gary C for turning Pete Bucknall into one convincing pirate. He really was looking fierce!

Also, we think Chi Chi is our favourite pumpkin of 2016. It definitely is the cutest!

Is that you, Steven?!

Steven Bridges, you truly are a magic whiz! We wouldn’t have guessed it was you behind this costume!

Such style!

Troye Sivan is the only one who could make Halloween look so stylish.

Totally not “low effort”

She might think it’s “low effort”, but we think Beckii Cruel‘s cat costume is downright cute! We also can’t get enough of Kelsey Ellision‘s take on Eleven from Stranger Things! Have we mentioned how we binge-watched the entire first series in one night? We’re addicted.

It looks like this year’s Halloween haunt had Calum McSwiggan scared to death…

Trump or Hillary?

We don’t know if we should be scared or impressed with this one, Philip Green. We’re thinking both.

YouTubers sure know how to party!

We’re super jealous of everyone who got to attend the Halloween party at YouTube Space London. From Gary’s tweets, it looked like a fun (and seriously spooky) time.

A throwback to the classics

We love the old-school Halloween looks Ali-A and Clare Siobhán donned last night! Nothing beats dressing up as Wednesday Addams and a classic vampire, fangs and all.

A MARVELous Halloween

We were bound to see a few superhero costumes this Halloween, with the surge in Marvel series hitting the big and small screens, and we got them! Our personal fave? Nadine Sykora‘s take on Jessica Jones.

Who said Halloween can’t be glamorous?

We wish we were as skilled with a makeup brush as Em Ford! She totally killed it with her half-glam, half-spooky look!

Gothic glam!

Trent, we have two questions:

1) How did you manage to make this look? It looks like the zip is actually part of your skin!

2) Can you please help us decide our costume for Halloween 2017? We need all the help we can get.

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape… Harriet Potter!

It wouldn’t be Halloween without a few Harry Potter looks, and our faves were definitely Luke Cutforth and Connie Glynn. We love the pair’s take on two of our favourite literary characters, and the colourful wands really add something unique!

Also, is it just us, or does Luke kind of look like Benjamin Cook? We mean, Luke thinks the same thing, so we must be on to something.

Who do you think had the best costume?

There were so many amazing looks this year that it’s hard for us to pick just one. We want to say Steven’s stick-man takes first place, but then Hazel’s doll and Philip’s political take are also spot on – ugh, we just can’t pick! Oh well, I guess we’re going to have to call it a draw.
