YouTubers Kayleigh Brown and Mary Akemon are bringing the Community Unite event to London.
Community Unite will take place on Saturday 9 July at the Greenside Community Centre in London.
Kayleigh and Mary first created the event as a programming track at Playlist Live in 2014. Its aim is to bring together smaller creators, particularly from the YouTube community, to give them a place to have a voice and validation.
The focus of this year’s event is a holistic overview of YouTube at the present time, with a combination of panels, workshops, and talks throughout the day.
Events include “Finding Opportunities in YouTube Communities”, featuring short talks from Mary Akemon, Jon Aitken, and Eleana Overett, and a “State of the Community” panel with YouTubers including Sam Saffold-Geri and Leena Normington.
The event is free, although donations are welcome, and registration for tickets is open via Eventbrite.
