Marcus Butler will be competing in the new series of Celebrity MasterChef, which airs this summer on BBC One.
He will be up against celebrities including TOWIE star Amy Childs, singer and TV personality Sinitta, and Gleb Savchenko of Strictly Come Dancing fame.
Carla-Maria Lawson, executive producer for the BBC, said: “This is one of the most passionate groups of celebrity cooks we’ve ever had on MasterChef“.
The contestants will face many challenges throughout the series, including the Mystery Box Test, working in a restaurant kitchen, and preparing a five-course dinner to celebrate the Queen’s ninetieth birthday.
Marcus isn’t the first YouTuber to be picked for a culinary-themed TV show. In 2015, Zoe Sugg took part in The Great Comic Relief Bake Off.
Zoe has already expressed her excitement on Twitter for the upcoming show:
@MarcusButler WOOHOOOOO! I am beyond excited for this 🙌🏼

Leon Bustin and John Chapman are also looking forward to the series:

MasterChef’s executive producer David Ambler said: “John [Torode] and Gregg [Wallace, judges] really push the celebs to reach for the culinary heights and there’s no shortage of entertainment and drama.”
