Electra Woman & Dyna Girl will premiere on Fullscreen on 26 April.
The 81-minute film, which features Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart as the title characters, is a reboot of the 1970s series of the same name produced by Sid and Marty Krofft. The premiere date was announced by director Chris Marrs Piliero at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Filmed in collaboration with Fullscreen and Legendary, the production follows Electra Woman (Grace) and Dyna Girl (Hannah), superheroes who rescue Los Angeles from criminals. The duo are picked up by a Hollywood agent after a video of one of their rescues goes viral, and are eventually placed in a position where they have to save Los Angeles from the first supervillain the city has seen in years.
Electra Woman & Dyna Girl is one of a handful of projects featuring YouTubers picked up by Fullscreen within the last year. Recently, Jack Howard and Dean Dobbs announced they would be premiering their debut series on the subscription platform as well.
Those wishing to watch Electra Woman & Dyna Girl upon its release can do so by subscribing to Fullscreen for $4.99. It will be available on other digital platforms, including iTunes, from 7 June.
