YouTuber and musician Troye Sivan won the award for Outstanding Music Artist at the twenty-seventh annual GLAAD Awards.
The GLAAD media awards “recognise and honour media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives”. Held in Los Angeles on 2 April, this year’s awards show saw appearances from Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Ruby Rose and more.

Troye Sivan was nominated for and won the award for Outstanding Music Artist at this year’s show for his debut album, Blue Neighbourhood, beating fellow nominees Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, and Le1f.

Troye has been very busy since the release of Blue Neighbourhood, having performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show. He also won the Artist on the Rise award at last year’s MTV European Music Awards.
