Oli White has announced the release of his debut novel, The Next Generation, on 31 May.
The Next Generation is currently available for pre-order via Amazon and through the Waterstones website. Oli made the announcement on 23 January, stating that he’d been working on the book with the help of author Terry Ronald.
The Next Generation is Oli’s debut novel and is set to follow the life of Jack, a teenager who, with a group of new friends, creates a new kind of social media platform. However, as the platform gains in popularity, both Jack and his loved ones fall into danger.
Following the announcement, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts. While reaction has been mainly positive, some viewers are confused that Oli is releasing a book after previously stating that he is not much of a reader:

I love Oli White, but it makes me sad that he's decided to release a book when he's admitted himself that he never reads. Just for money!

I like oli white but I don't see how someone who says they don't read + can't remember the last time they opened a book can publish one
