Felix Kjellberg has announced his own network, Revelmode.
Revelmode is backed by existing Disney-owned network Maker Studios and, according to its new website, aims to bring viewers “original shows, games, charitable programmes, community events, merchandise and more”.
“We’re thrilled to be doubling down with Felix,” the executive vice president and head of Maker Studios, Courtney Holt, said in a statement reported by Mashable. “He is an amazing talent, a great partner and the pulse of millennial pop culture. We firmly believe in his vision for Revelmode and his chosen creators — we can’t wait to see the possibilities ahead.”
Variety reports that the network’s first programming initiative is set to be “an animated series featuring PewDiePie and the initial group of creator partners as a collection of new characters”.
At the moment, the self-dubbed “Revelmode Talent Squad” features Ken Morrison, Marzia Bisognin, Brooke Lawson, Emma Blackery, Sean McLoughlin, Jelle van Vucht, Jordi van den Bussche and Mark Fischbach.
As of right now, the Revelmode creators have amassed more than 100 million followers across all of their social media sites.
