Tell us what you want; what you really, really want
We know what you want; what you really, really want.
You wanna, you wanna, you wanna, you wanna, you wanna really, really, really wanna zigazig ROUND-UP.
1.) Here at TenEighty HQ we have the lyrics to every Spice Girl song in existence pasted on our walls, so the amount of ‘wanna’s wasn’t difficult to get precise.
2.) WHAT on EARTH is a ‘zigazig?’ Answers on a postcard pls xox.
The Good The Bad & The Just Plain Sh!t Parts of 2015 – Jack & Dean
Right, so first off, ARE you two married or not? We can’t keep buying wedding gifts in the hope the shipping rumours are true. We are OVERFLOWING with electric whisks and blenders.
So, Jack Howard and Dean Dobbs of ‘OMFG It’s’ fame come to us this week with their annual update of the year’s events.
Much like a Round-Up… Eh? Eh? We see your game, boys.
Featuring film spoilers, classic-vlogger fairy lights and the never-ending sadness in the eyes of Ron Weasley, this is a video to get your mitts on. In? Around? Just watch it, k?
♥ Utterly Brilliant You ♥ – ItsWayPastMyBedTime
Ow. Ow. OW OW OW OWOWOWOWOW STOP IT, OUR HEARTS BROKE WITHIN THE FIRST 30 SECONDS AND NOW WE HAVE ANOTHER 2 MINUTES STOP IT THIS IS SO ADORABLE. *ahem*
Carrie Hope Fletcher and Pete Bucknall FLOOD our screens with love this week as they bring us the announcement video to end all announcement videos.
We won’t spoil the news, go and watch it yourself. But bring tissues; lots and lots of tissues. We didn’t cry, of course, it’s just better to be safe than sorry, right? *crying intensifies*
Self Portrait 2016 – Ray Roberts
Ray Roberts. RAY. ROBERTS. THE RAY MAN. (OMG WHO REMEMBERS RAYMAN?!)
Ray comes to us this week with his beautifully honest new film Self Portrait 2016.
With cinematography to make your toes curl up, honesty to make your heart leap and comments that make you smile in all the right places (in the video, not your body, you’ll most likely smile from your mouth-area) Ray’s newest video is one that we cannot recommend enough.
Our favourite Smash Bros character is Jigglypuff too, btw. An unassuming choice, but deadly in the right hands.
Monetizing Coming Out – Jazza John
First off, that beard is looking luscious. We want to stroke it. Can we stroke it?
Jazza John, inspired by a couple of tweets from Jack Dean on the subject of coming out, looks at the ethics of monetising Coming Out videos. There’s been a lot of talk about the issues surrounding being LGBTQ+ on YouTube recently (including a series of three articles TenEighty published last year), but of course, Jazza always has something worthwhile to add to that discussion.
Plus, the vigour and energy of his delivery is such a joy to behold you could almost forgive him if he was speaking nonsense. In fact, can you set up a channel where you just speak unintelligible nonsense Jazza? Pls?
my notes on this year – peppermillietea
If you can think of a better descriptor for this video other than: “UGGH” or “SEHHR PRETTEH” then we salute you.
Looking back on her year, Millie Johnston reads from the notes on her iPhone and shares snippets and snaps of memories she’s made throughout the year. (We LOVE the indie aspect ratio overlays, Milz.)
What a lovely experience it is to watch this video. We really hope 2016 is your year, Millie!
That got a bit emotional there, didn’t it? Soz. Our TenEighty sass monitor is temporarily down. Maintenance are on their way.
Oooh, ahh just a little bit, oooh, ahh a little bit more…
The lovely Laurbubble has uploaded a new stand-up routine this week. Hen Do’s, gym people and top-knots are all topics of the routine. Give it a gander and have a giggle.
Looking for New Year’s Resolutions? Jimmy Hill uploaded eight suggestions to become a better person this week, and we have to say, they’re all pretty sound pieces of advice.
Francesca Georgiou came to us this week with a lovely video that’ll make ya laugh, smile and think at all the right times. Give it a watch and help Fran to build a time-machine.
SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT. Now, we know we’re pretty much perfect, but if you’ve seen something this week that you thought should’ve been in this list, then feel free to shout at us through tweet-form @TenEightyUK or drop us some of those thoughts on Facebook TenEightyUK, baby!
We won’t call you that again… sorry.
