Carrie Hope Fletcher has announced that she will be leaving the West End production of Les Miserables, with her final show set for 13 February.
Carrie Hope Fletcher has played Eponine in the show since June 2013 and is the only actress to have played both said role and that of young Eponine, her West End debut in 2001. Her original contract was due to end in 2014, in time for her to play Beth in the national arena tour of War of the Worlds. However, she was asked to return to Les Miserables after the two-month tour to be a part of their thirtieth anniversary cast.

Back in Janaury 2014, Carrie announced she was planning to cut off the majority of her hair and donate it to The Little Princess Trust. Due to the fact that her own hair is used for the role of Eponine, she was unable to cut it until she left Les Miserables. Having postponed the haircut by over a year – and in that time raising over £8,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s charity – Carrie has announced that she will now be having her hair cut the week after her final show.
I'll be cutting between 7-12inches of my hair off on the week of 15th Feb to raise money for @GreatOrmondSt !!! https://t.co/fu5sHV4RoA

Along with her departure announcement, Carrie also hinted that she has something “exceedingly exciting” coming up. However, she is unable to announce it just yet. Her debut novel, On The Other Side, is also set for release 14 July.
