The YouTuber has teamed up with BBC Three to present Rise Of The Superstar Vloggers.
The documentary will see Jim Chapman interviewing some of the world’s biggest YouTubers, including Tyler Oakley, Alfie Deyes and Joe Sugg, as well as vloggers creating videos about mental health and sexuality. The interviewees will be discussing how the site has changed their lives, both positively and negatively.
Titled Rise Of The Superstar Vloggers, the 1×60 documentary is scheduled to premiere toward the end of the year, with the actual date still to be announced. BBC Three are filming it in association with Little Dot Studios.
Speaking about the documentary, executive producer Dan Jones said:
“Audiences think they know everything about vloggers, and many assume they have turned up and become overnight superstars. The reality is different, with plenty of vloggers having fascinating stories on the road to becoming the 21st century’s new breed of celebrity.”
Jim first introduced Rise Of The Superstar Vloggers to his audience back in September and has documented its filming through his daily vlogs.
